Tl* takata recall. the contact owns a 2012 volkswagen cc. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v078000 (air bags); however, the part for the recall repair was unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the contact had not experienced a failure. the manufacturer was made aware of the issue. the manufacturer stated that this was not an urgent matter. vin tool confirms parts not available.

Takata recall - in april 2016, vw informed me that the driver's side airbag was defective and potentially dangerous. today (july 5, 2017) i called the vw dealer, and the vw dealer claims the parts for the airbag repair will not be available until sept. 30, 2017. that means i will have been driving an unsafe car for 18 months. can nhtsa get vw to do the repairs sooner?

Takata recall... when i bring my car in there is no fix to this problem but they say they can put ne in another car but my value is not enough to zero out the bakance on my loan... why must i pay for a car that is supposed to be scrapped and a manufactured defect? my loan needs to be zeroed out and i should be allowed to start over. i have spent extra money on that car new tures & battery not even a year old. the takata corporation needs to be liable for the remaining debt not me.... my note will go from 420 owning to 655 leased to get out that car and i'm forced to purchase another volkswagen.... not fair at all....

Takata recall, volkswagon has been delaying a fix for my cc sport 2012. i was notified in february 2016 that my volkswagon ccsport 2012 has a safety recall of my airbags. the dealer as advised me they won't take my car back in trade for another vehicle do to the open recall. further advised me that because volkswagon currently has no fix in the near future. my automobile with 37,000 miles in excellent conditon and maintained/serviced every 3000 miles. and i was advised that the value or treade in if they were to take car back. the car would have to be sold at auction for penny's on the dollar. this is a crime and out ragious that a dealer who has sold me two volkswagon over the span of 10years is now sending me to car max as my only option to trade my car or sale it. i'm out raged and need some advise or guidance as to how i move forward with volkswagon to settle this safety recall which has been on file almost a year. and volkswagon has no information or any idea as to when or how they will fix my automobile

Wednesday on my home i'm driving going about 35mph gearing down as i am coming up to a tole booth when i notice that brakes literally have shut off. i'm pressing the petal repeatedly as hard and as fast as i can to get them to work but they ended failing and i ran into someone and went through the tole booth and rolled stopped 80 yards after the crash because the brakes still did not work after the crash .with airbag not deploying. it was a very traumatic experience, i no longer feel comfortable in a vehicle i was so happy with moments before this happened.

Takata recall- i was sent notification about the recall via mail back in february. i called the number listed to get more information as well as set up a date to take care of the issue. i was informed that no resolution had been put into place at that time. my vehicle is stationary at this point, i would like to drive my car and not be in fear of my life with something that would hopefully safe my life and not take my life. if would like to give the car back to the dealership and start over.it is not fair that i have purchased this vehicle have not used it as i please because of the fear of the metal fragments in the airbags.i would like a resolution immediately so that i can in full confidence drive and enjoy my vehicle. i purchased it in 2013 with just 23,000 miles and as of this date it has only 60,000. thank you very much for your time. *tr

This is a very serious safety concern and the recall has been nearly one year without any updates or a solution to this safety hazard. this is unacceptable.

Takata recall i'm concerned that i still cannot get my airbag replaced

Takata recall it's been almost a full year that i have had to drive with airbags that are potentially lethel. recall incomplete remedy not available yet!! how can this be allowed?

Takata inflators. the recall date was feb 9, 2016. it is nov 4, 2016 and the remedy is still not available. the recall is not being handled in a timely manner putting the driver (my son) at risk. according to the video at the nhtsa website on the topic, it states hot and humid climates increase the risk of malfunction. we live in nc, a hot and humid climate.

Takata recall - vw issued this recall 14 months ago in february 2016. they still tell me they do not have the parts to remedy. this is not acceptable, especially when they tell you metal shrapnel could shred your face and neck and kill you.

It has been over one year since the airbag on my vehicle has been recalled and volkswagen has yet to do anything. the turbo also seems to be malfunctioning.

Takata recall received two recalls from volkwagen but are told no repairs available yet.

Takata recall - this recall was issued in february 2016 upon which i was told they did not have the parts available. now, one year and eight months later i'm receiving notifications about bringing my vehicle in to be repaired. the most recent states "this is a serious issue that must be taken care of - defective components can cause the airpag to deploy improperly, shooting metal fragments ant drivers and passengers, which can cause serious injury or death." i'm concerned that it took nearly two years to resolve this issue, especially given the statement being sent out via postcard. secondly, now there is yet another recall for something related to the electrical power to the fuel pump module. i have already taken my vehicle in multiple times for a related recall, one that left me stranded and having to be towed before vw ever even notified me. absolutely unreal!

In a front end collision while slowing down on interstate 84, on october 15, 2015, the air bag did not release. this resulted in a fractured sternum and a hospital stay. the police report with the connecticut state police is case number 1500606623 per article in usa today -- 8.15.15, this car is included in a recall due to airbags not deploying.

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 volkwagen cc. the contact stated that the vehicle would not start intermittently. the epc, the battery, the engine, and the air bag warning indicators illuminated during the failure. the vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the clock spring needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the contact received nhtsa campaign number: 15v483000 (air bags); however, the dealer stated they would not repair the clock spring under the recall. manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 63,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 volkswagen cc. while in park, the air bag warning light illuminated. in addition, the contact stated that all the controls on the steering wheel failed to function. the vehicle was taken to a dealer who diagnosed that the steering wheel clock spring and steering column needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 33,000.

Error air bag error was the error that appears on my display when i turn on car. horn & all buttons on steering wheel stopped working. this is on the vw cc year is 2012. i am told by service department it is due to a failure of the clockspring hence i must replace the clockspring with control unit and part only is almost 450 dollars, and labor is additional.

Turning the steering wheel at low speed as i was exiting a parking lot and heard a metallic sound and steering got very tight, several warning leds presented on the dash display indicating air bag failures. all features incorporated with the steering wheel were inoperable including the horn. took vehicle to vw dealer, service tech codes indicated the sccm module/clock spring has failed and needs to be replaced asap at a cost of ~ $ 800.00

I have never had any problems. never in an accident or had anything replaced. all maintenance up to date. started the car with no issues. continued to drive going 35mph normal driving conditions and multiple warning lights appeared. abs. power steering, emergency brake, and air bag. took it to closest auto repair to make sure nothing dangerous was about to occur. quick diagnostic and they said all problems are electrical. nothing physically wrong with the car and will likely need new sensors and clockspring. *tr

I purchased my 2012 vw cc in sept. 2014. i bought the vehicle with approximately 26000 miles on it. since purchasing the vehicle, the drivers seat no longer heats (quoted $980 for repair) and the clock spring has failed (quoted $450 for repair). i can understand the seat maybe having an issue, but considering i only purchased the vehicle less than 6 months ago vw has failed to provide customer service on this issue. i dont understand how the clock spring is not covered under any warranty. since the clock spring has failed the horn, the controls on the steering wheel, and the airbag (to my understanding) does not function.there is also and error message for the airbag also. this is a major safety issue. my vehicle will not pass a state inspection without the horn functioning. this is not cosmetic, and i want vw to explain what causes this item to fail. its obviously a faulty part of the vehicle that simply "goes out". at 30k miles? there is no way for me to break this part, all i did was turn the wheel to the left when in a parking lot and the part failed. based on my research this is a common and costly issue for vw owners. vw customer care has not helped in any way either. this part will fail simply by using the basic functions of the vehicle.. the turning of the steering wheel. i have spent more money repairing this vehicle in the first 6 months of owing it that i expected to have for a while. *tr

My 2012 volkswagen cc sport airbag light came on after my husband adjusted the driver seat. i took it to the dealer and they told me it was the control unit ( clock spring) the dealership told me if i drove it and got in an accident the airbags would not deploy. my car is just over 80 thousand miles. i contacted volkswagen customer care via phone and they would not accept any responsibility and just dismissed me saying my car has excessive mileage. i disagree with this statement! i think that airbags that won't deploy on a car that is a 2012 should remain under an unspoken warranty that protects my family in an accident! after my review of online complaints on volkswagens i see that i am not the only one that has experienced faulty air bags with a volkswagen. i will never buy another volkswagen. i was very dissatisfied with the customer care service from volkswagen or should i say lack there of!!!! *tr

Takata recall.

My steering wheel electrical and air bag stopped working after i made a turn while driving. i found out it was the clock spring after taking it in. the car had only been driven for about 38,000 miles and something like that should not happen that early. volkswagen has not done anything about it yet either.

Vehicle was being turned around in a parking lot when a clicking noise was heard. the air bag light illuminated and all of the steering wheel functions (i.e. horn, radio controls, etc.) stopped working. took it into the volkswagen dealership and was informed that it was the "clock spring " in the steering wheel was in need of replacement. *tr

Stepping on the accelerator does not always product motion. dangerous situation when more acceleration is needed such as on an entrance ramp or passing other vehicles or having to accelerate to avoid a crash. this has been a constant since we purchased this car (new) in 2012. the dealer service department told us this a sport vehicle and there is not a problem with the car as long as we accelerate harder. the recall parts are still not available according to vw of orland park il.

Yakata recall after putting my family at risk for almost 12 mo. is'nt it time for the gov. to step up.actually it's more like 4years. that defect has been there since new.
