Takata recall. vw will not replace the recalled airbag. i do not feel safe driving my car. i called many times and get many notices in the mail to get it replace. upon calling they (vw of ontario, san bernardino and moreno valley including the corporate line. that there are no airbags and the manufacture went out of business.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 volkswagen cc. while driving approximately 25 mph, the vehicle shut off without warning. the vehicle was restarted, but the failure recurred several times. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the fuel system failed and code number: p2293 was located. the dealer also informed the contact of two open recalls: nhtsa campaign numbers: 17v509000 (fuel system, gasoline) and 18v148000 (air bags). the contact stated that the manufacturer did not notify him about the recalls. the manufacturer was made aware of the failures and promised to call the contact back. the contact was not called back. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 125,000.

Takata recall. i took my cc for recall on the airbag in vw dealer in countryside, il.the replace the airbag and give me the car back with airbag error on the dashboard.after that they service department told me that i need to call for appointment come back when is available, pay them $140 for diagnostic and then they can tell me what is wrong with my airbag.they want me to drive my car with out airbag.

After a recall on airbag was done, two weeks later i took the car in because a airbag light came on. was told its control module for pods all, which costs $2,357.68. this module controls the airbags whether or not they go off in an accident. well mine went out without ever being in an accident. the car only has 76k miles and vw told me it has nothing to do with the other airbag recall and that part is only covered until 36k miles. this super expensive safety issue should be looked at not be put upon a customer.

Takata airbags i had the recall repair done, shortly there after the horn stopped working and the airbag light came back on. vw wants to charge me just to look at it. my ref # at vw is 180415119. further more i was in an accident with a tractor trailer on june 14, 2018 and the airbags did not deploy.

My vehicle had 2 recall not resolved with volkswagen. one of them is 20ae fuel pump module recall, which could potentially caused loss of motive power while in motion. i had this symptoms 5 times in a week, when i drive on the street the car just stalled. volkswagen's dealer told me the repair is unavailable. they have no estimation how long i need to wait before the repair parts available. i definitely don't want to take the risk to continue driving my car. but alternate transportation in not provided by volkswagen.

Horn has stopped working. dealer is saying that the repair needed is replacement of the clock spring, which has not been replaced yet on this car, and was not part of the previous clock spring recall (15v483000). car has had a mild scraping sound around the steering wheel since i got it at 12,500 miles, which is a known symptom of clock spring problems. currently car has 105000 miles. the takata airbag recall service was performed very recently, within the last month. there is no error light on currently, airbag or otherwise. but i cannot pass state inspection without the horn working. due to the original reason for the clock spring recall on this model, i am concerned that the airbag may not be working properly, and additionally, that the car is less safe for not having a horn. i was not notified to get service for the previous recall, despite having a model that was known to have problems.

I had my clock spring replaced last year due to the recall, then my airbag light went on and my steering wheal started doing a clicking sound when i steer to the left or right all control panels on my steering wheel stopped functioning including the horn. i called volkswagen and they said that they would charge me $150 to access the car, i told them about clock spring and they said that i would have to pay to get that fixed. i really don't find this fair that i have to pay to get something fixed that originally wasn't done correctly i think that they should take more responsibility for their workmanship. also my seatbelt claps docent work i called them to see if this is something that they would fix being a safety issue and they said no. i think that all car companies should be responsible for seatbelt and airbag issues on a car. not everyone has the money to replace seatbelt clasp and many people live day by day on there paycheck.

There was a recall in 2015 involving a clock spring in the steering wheel. recall description: hair or other fibers may contaminate the airbag clock spring (a spiral wound, flat cable that keeps the airbag powered while the steering wheel is being turned). this contamination may tear the cable and result in a loss of electrical connection to the driver's frontal airbag. a loss of electrical connection to the driver's frontal airbag will prevent the airbag from deploying in the event of a vehicle crash, increasing the risk of injury. on february 29, 2016, vw did a recall repair by installing a cover over the clock spring. on november 22, 2017, i was driving and when i made a turn, i heard a pop in my steering wheel. my airbag light immediately came on along with an airbag error. i lost the use of my horn and the controls on my steering wheel, along with my airbag deployment. i made an appointment to have this seen about. i was told that i had to replace the clock spring for a fee of $877.88. i questioned this because it was a recall issue and was told that the repair was covered for 12 months/12,000 miles (which ever came first) and it was out of warranty. first of all, the clock spring was not replaced, a cover was put on it. how do i not know that there were fibers in the clock spring before the cover was put on? i feel that vw took an easy way out of fixing a problem that could have serious issues later, which i am now experiencing.

Hello, i bought this car 2 months ago , mileage 89000 .problem with a gearbox dsg, on the website i got this ; volkswagen has announced a program to help owners of vw and audi vehicles equipped with the company’s dual-clutch dsg transmissions. after a flurry of complaints to the nhtsa, vw will replace components inside the transmission. issues apparently stemmed from faulty temperature sensors that would force the dsg boxes into neutral, often while owners were driving. vw will replace the components and offer loaner cars during the repairs. owners who have already paid out-of-pocket for the fix will be reimbursed. the company will also apply a 10-year, 100,000-mile transferrable warranty to the dsg transmissions. but when i talk to vw dealer brooklyn thay told me goodbye, you have recall from airbag. and we dont care about your dsg problem although it was said the company will also apply a 10-year, 100,000-mile transferrable warranty to the dsg transmissions. 1. takata recall 2. dsg transmission, delay, jerks on the rear gear. mechatronic always overheat. when turning on the rear gear it does not turn on very large engine rmp and then quckly turns on, i find it very dangerous, because i do not know if the rear gear is turned on at all volkswagen recently initiated a recall on 2009-10 vws and audis equipped with its high-performance direct shift gearbox (dsg) transmissions. vw said it would repair or replace the components in the transmissions at no charge to the vehicles’ owners. and vw will reimburse customers who have already repaired the transmission on their own. but dealer vw usa sad this is not true / only some recall dsg can get free repaired.

Takata recall, i recently purchased a used vw cc 2010 and later found out about this scary airbag recall. i contacted vw to find out if my car has already been serviced and found out the service is not available yet. no incident has happened but i'm nervous driving around with a defective airbag that may potentially kill whoever is driving the car. my adult son also drives it.

Takata recall-while there's no fix available yet, we were aren't able to trade our car in to get a newer one because of the problem. tom bush vw in jacksonville said they wouldn't take our trade in or rather they wouldn't give us any value for the car making our car worthless.

Takata inflators: dealer replaced the airbags due to recall but the service light came on after replacement and dealer made excuses when i took it in for inspection sticker. the driver seat belt sensor doesn't stop beeping. the trunk latch doesn't work and dealer can't figure out why the suspension has cracking sounds. also had a fuel leak which they did fix. not happy with my vw

According to the vw dealer i have to wait to be called but nhtsa web page states that for vehicles in zone a (hot and humid) from may 2011 and older the replacement should have been scheduled in may 16, 2016. it is december 2016 and i am still waiting. please advise.

Takata recall has yet to be addressed on my vehicle. when will volkswagen be able to make the replacement? i am concerned that it has been more than nine months without a solution.

Clock spring recall recently my airbag light went on and when i make a turn with a steering wheel rotation of over 270* my horn will go off, i also only have intermittent use of the steering wheel controls to my instrumentation. there is a recall on the year and make of my car for the clock spring, however my vin is not included. the signs point to a defective clock spring to which i lost the functionality of my airbag and the electronic functionality of my steering wheel. i called vw service department and they said my vehicle is not covered under the recall so there is no need to bring it in. i really don't feel safe operating this vehicle considering there has been an open recall involving the takata recall for well over a year. (vw told me that they will contact me when parts are available to fix). this happened when i made a left turn into a parking spot, the airbag light when on and it said "service airbag". *tr

Regarding takata recall. let me start by saying that i haven't been notified about the recall and have been driving an unsafe vehicle which is unexceptable. i purchased another vehicle in december 2016 and intended to sell my vw right away to avoid making 2 car payments, insurances etc. to my surprise noone would by the vehicle and one of the possible buyers that i had informed me about the recall. obviously i was very frustrated that not only i wasn't notified about the issue to start with and was driving an unsafe car but now i'm stuck with the vehicle noone will buy because there is no fix to it and they've been working on it for over a year. i talked to vw and requested a buy back but just learned that vw will not do it. i'm a single mother and can't afford keeping and maintaining two vehicles. is there anyone else i can reach out to help me?

Takata recall. my car's vin shows that my driver's side airbag is included in this recall. vw is not even listed in the priority groups, yet my car is now 7 years old and i'm in zone a (where the propellant is said to degrade to an unsafe level in 6-9 years). i know many people (non-vw drivers) who've had passenger-side bags replaced. i respectfully request driver's-side airbags are prioritized over passenger-side; passengers can ride in the back seat or not at all, but a car is completely useless if it's unsafe for the driver/ cannot be driven. or please require vw to provide loaners; they are not doing so at this time. i spoke with them again today. if not, what am i to do? i live in la, where a car is necessary.

Takata recall considering how serious this recall is, i am uncomfortable and honestly scared to even drive my car. if i am in a wreck, one even at no fault of mine, i could die from the one part of the car that is supposed to protect me? i want to know how long until my car can be serviced and this can be fixed? this is very serious and i feel like nothing is being done since i got my letter stating the recall about two months ago.

Takata recall - i've been hearing about this recall for other manufactures for the past year. i just received my notification from vw few weeks ago. i've been unable to get this recall completed due to vw not having the parts available to correct the issue. in the meantime i've heard deaths have been reported due to this defect and it doesn't seem like vw is moving fast enough to correct the issue. so, as of this correspondence i'm still taking a chance everyday and risking death, even if i get into a minor fender bender that causes the airbags to deploy.

Takata recall: i have not had a safety probelm as yet. however, i am very concerned about driving a potentially unsafe vehicle. i contact volkswagen and requested a loaner vehicle at no charge. they declined to provide this solution. this leaves me the options of paying something i should not have to or driving an unsafe vehicle. of note: we have a honda crv which is affected by this recall and the honda dealer is providing a replacement vehicel at no charge to me. the same solution should be offered by volkswagen.
