Tl* the contact owns a 2009 toyota venza. the contact stated that while driving 5 mph, an unknown sound emitted from under the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where the technician diagnosed that the engine mount and water pump needed to be replaced. the engine mount was replaced but the water pump was not. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 73,000.
Engine noisy while at idle.brought it to the attention of dealer and was told that it was normal. as time went on noise continued to get worse by getting louder. each time i mentioned it to the dealer while having it serviced, i was told it was normal. now the noise is much louder and a clatter and very annoying and embarrassing. took it to another garage and they preliminarily thought it was a water pump. called dealer and reported the findings. ask what the current mileage is and i told them it was 65000. they said that if it was the waterpump , it is no longer covered under warantee and would be close to 2000 dollars to replace. *js
