When i was about to exit while driving on freeway, myabs, brake, tcs light is suddenly on, the brake need power to push and regenerate charger not working when brake pedal push, and make mpg drop.
On 1/23/2020 while driving on highway i60 in az around 9 am the sunroof of the car exploited. no object was noticed to hit the car or sunroof. it's unknown the reason leading to the explosion.
I switched into neutral and pushed the park button to park. i leaned forward to grab my wallet and felt the car accelerating over the parking curb. i immediately slammed the brakes and the car accelerated into a building. i am fortunate to be alive because if the airbag would have activated, i would have broke my neck.
On an intermittent basis, the dash does not light up(speed, gear selections , gas level, etc) when this happens you can not shut the engine off or remove the ignition key which are big safety items when you have to park as you can not lock the doors and all information on the large display does not work or any of the dash display so you have no indication of speed, engine warnings etc. i purchased my 2007 prius from my local county and now they have a 2009 prius with the same problem. all prius should be recalled by toyota, regardless of age and fixed a it is a very dangerous problem. i have searched the internet about this problem and it seems be a problem with the prius. the estimate i have to solve the problem is approximately $1,200 and this should be fixed by toyota as a definite recall safety problem. it is a start, stop problem when you can not shut off the engine or remove the key and while driving no speed indication.
While driving the vehicle the hybrid system failed as per notification on the dashboard. the car was operable but i was not able to drive above 40 miles per hour. i was told by the certified toyota dealer that the inverter failed and they were not able to provide a reason why it failed. there was a previous recall on the inverter in 2014 to fix a software issue which was repaired. i was told by the dealer this recent incident was unrelated.
The dashboard lights go out, meaning you can no longer see the mph, the fuel, and everything important to drive with gauges. this can happen at anytime, driving or parked, on any street in any weather. also note, you can no longer shut the car off, unless you hold the start button for 20 seconds. sometimes the car will still not shut off, it's also sometimes hard to tell if the car is off, because there is no more dash. the only well to tell is to see if the radio goes on. there are a few ways to reset this major malfunction, to try and get things working again by disconnecting batteries, but this is a dangerous problem, that could kill someone while driving and needs attention and recalled soon as possible!
While driving back from running errands my car's lights on the dashboard started to come on and noises started to start happening. i was lucky i was only a few streets away from my house so i decided to drive back home. the break was really hard to press. the brake felt like it was a rock and hard to press. i drove with my hazards on unsure of what could happen while driving. there was something wrong and the car started to beep and i was worried the car might fail to brake so i started to drive very slowly. the brakes were so hard to press. i took my car to toyota the next day and they said there was a defect with my brakes. they had the vehicle for a few days and returned to me saying it was fixed. needless to say this was a very scary situation to be in. i drive a lot. if i had been further away from my home this would have put me in a very dangerous position. i could've been stranded or drove on the freeway in this condition unsure of what was happening. my car could've stopped braking, ...
I was turning left and was hit by an oncoming car. most damage done to the front right. the car was totaled. i was going about 5-10mph though the oncoming car was going approximately 40mph. the firemen, police and insurance adjuster were all very concerned that the airbags did not deploy. my babies were safe in the backseat thanks to their car seats. i had to go to the hospital and suffered a concussion. we just had our car tuned up at our local toyota dealership not even 6 mos ago. they did not say anything about a concern with the airbags.
The 2008 prius has a digital display. sometimes when the vehicle starts up there is no information displayed on the screen. nothing shows what gear (reverse, neutral, forward) it is in. there is no speedometer display. no odometer display. no fuel level display. at the same time that the dash does not light up, i have noticed there is no backup camera or backup lights when the vehicle is in reverse. in addition to the above, the start button will not fully shut down the car. it will cycle between accessory mode and full start when the button is pressed. i have noticed that when the problem is happening the vehicle is also not keeping track of the miles driven while the dash is not displaying - so when the dash does start working again, the odometer is not showing true mileage. after getting the vehicle to finally shut down, i have sometimes had the issue not present the next day at startup. other times it will last through several starts and stops. i have read online that this ...
Ventilation circuit to select inside to outside air has been cyber-terrorised several times. the system is vital to operate securely, as a disabled constituent, in a great metropolis, that has sewage and garbage vapors everywhere. they access the funtion to open the damper to let outside air in suddenly, exposing my respiratory system to inhale waste. i have respiirated. garbage air pollution, here in new york so much, it has activated my childhood asthma. please find a way to seal the ecu's.
