Headed to work at 5:35 am on wednesday, january 15, 2020, at 55 mph on my daily commute in my 2016 toyota highlander, westbound on i-70 between the central park and 270 exits, and my sunroof exploded. 22 degrees, clear day, moderate traffic with steady flow, no turns or frequent braking, no objects that could have played a role in site, and no warning signs of what was to come. sound reminiscent of a gunshot occurred, and as i looked around i realized that shards of glass were falling onto me from my panoramic sunroof. the front panel of my sunroof is blown outward. 67,784 miles on the vehicle with no aftermarket parts aside from the led headlights. no other damage to car or myself. after some research, i have learned that this is a known issue with various manufacturers, including toyota. i have reached out to toyota and am waiting for a response.
My bluetooth keeps turning off so i am not able to use my phone handsfree
The vehicle was in motion, at 60 mph, south bound on rte 495 south in foxboro, ma at 2:35 on dec 29, 2019. driver heard a thud on the roof, pulled over to the breakdown lane, opened the moonroof shade and discovered that moonroof glass was gone. there was no evidence of shattered glass. driver did not see any other vehicle or person that was damaged or injured. driver was traveling alone. on inspection repair shop did not see any damage to roof or window frame and no glass shards.
Lack of hands free phone calling. toyota and apple iphone 11's are not syncing and causing a safety issue.
My brakes failed abs anita breaking system failed because if that sb's failed my hybrid battery is not charging and my car is failed to stop
I have been told by the toyota dealer as well as apple that my new phone, an iphone 11 pro, is not compatible with the computer system in the vehicle. they both claim the other needs an update, but neither one has any idea when that may happen. i cannot use hands free because the phone continually connects and disconnects to the car. the suggestion i got from them was to turn off my bluetooth and not allow the phone to connect to the car. this seems like a safety issue with no end in sight. this happens anytime the car is on smd the phone connects. this is an ongoing issue from november on...
My son dropped me off at the airport. i forgot to leave him the keyless device that keeps the vehicle running. he called and let me know he made it home (30 miles approx.to his home) and i didn't leave him the keyless device. should this be a safety recall? and how could this happen?
Entune radio/headunit (hu) reboot itself while in a call. reboot occurs while vehicle is in motion at any speed, during any driving condition. as the hu reboots, driver is unable to use rear-view camera and any other feature displayed in hu. road attention is affected since driver is distracted by the screen going black and on again. also if driver is in a call has to end call from the phone and call again using the phone.
Driver side door lock mechanism worked only intermittently. had to crawl through passenger side to unlock door manually by pulling on the door handle. replaced door lock mechanism at dealership. now the left rear door is starting to malfunction. sometimes passenger is unable to open door from inside of car and the door has to be opened from the outside.
After stopping at a red light, when light turned green, i made a right turn, my 2019 highlander started to sputter, choppy like movement and acted like it was going to stall. i pressed on the accelerator somewhat more firmly and it finally started to move more normal. i was on a busy city street turning onto another busy city street.
