Low speed wiper stops working sometimes in the rain.high speed works ok. dealer could did not find problem or maybe did not check long enough.
The melting dashboard which causes a shine which reflects into drivers vision is a danger!!!! the fact that toyota allows this to go on, and does not remedy it for those that (for whatever reason) missed the notices sent out is a disgrace, and a danger to not only the driver, but everyone on the road!! how many people are still driving cars with this issue?? these are accidents just waiting to happen! my mother's car dashboard did not begin to "melt" until after the notices were sent, so she didn't think there was an issue with hers....surprise!!! it has now been going on for about 3 years or more. toyota only wants customer to pay for repair out of pocket. this will be the last toyota in our family!
The windshield in my 2019 toyota camry seems to have crystals and chips in it. i notice this as soon as i purchased it, when light reflects on it. there also seems to be scratches. it is a new car only had 27 miles on it when i purchased it.
The sun visor on the 2020 camry xle is not deep enough and does not provide protection from blinding sunlight, whether the visor is down in front of me, or to the side window - a dangerous situation. have never had this problem before, and have been a toyota customer for over 35 years.
2014 toyota camry has triggered a diagnostic trouble code (dtc) with the following details: code p0001 description the fuel volume regulator allows the fuel system to release excessive fuel from the engine back to the fuel tank. when the engine control module (pcm) determines that the fuel volume regulator is not performing properly, the pcm will set code p0001. this alert was detected at 07:58 am on 07/17/2019 toyota camry has triggered a diagnostic trouble code (dtc) with the following details: code p0014 description newer vehicles use a variable timing system to adjust the timing of the intake and exhaust valves in an effort to increase fuel efficiency and performance. the engine control module (pcm) uses a camshaft position actuator to adjust the camshaft accordingly. if the camshaft does not respond as the pcm requests, the pcm will set code p0014. this alert was detected at 05:50 pm on 11/08/2019.
The toyota melting dashboard is horrendous. my dashboard is so gooey and shiny that on any day with mild sun it is hard to see out the windshield because of the reflection/shine. i am very worried this will lead to an accident. this is not a cosmetic issue, it is a very serious safety issue that toyota needs to address.
There is significant distortion of visibility through the rear windshield during both day and night, moving and stopped.the biggest issue at night is that one vehicle appears multiplied with multiple sets of headlights, mostly up and down with the defogging lines but also in a wavy pattern between defogger lines. during the daytime, it obscures the edges of vehicles with the wavy pattern and has the same headlight issue as nighttime driving if it's raining. there is no after-market tint applied and there has been no damage to the windshield. it makes changing lanes at night or in the rain difficult and unsafe if there are any other vehicles on the road behind me since the distortion makes it difficult to determine distance and which lane they may be in.
I was not sent any notice of the defective plastic clips holding up 2007-2011 toyota camrys. instead, our sun visor lost resistance in 9/2019 and started obstructing our visibility and making it hard to see out the windshield. the sun visor would no longer stay up, but hang ~2/3 of the way down. i contacted toyota and printed out the complaints as well as the fact that toyota never informed us of the issue with the defective visor clips within the extended warranty time frame -which has happened to many. we are being told to replace and repair it ourselves for $195 though they agreed it's a safety hazard as well as the clips are defective. our local dealership was cordial but said it was out of their hands and a toyota headquarters decision. please look at the multiple complaints here: https://www.toyoheadquarters.com/threads/2007-2011-toyota-camry-and-camry-hybrid-sun-visor-warranty-extension-ztt.114/page-5 http://m.carcomplaints.com/toyota/camry/2011/accessories-interior/sun_visor_will_not_stay_up.shtml i believe toyota is in the wrong and should have to fix all faulty clips especially when blocking your visibility. i was unable to see other drivers in the course of driving. i could not see safety signs ...
The driver windshield wiper arm cannot be lifted up by design, the passenger side is ok and like in all other vehicles, both windshield wipers supposed to lift up completely for cleaning, snow removal etc
The glare from the sticky dashboard is making the vehicle more dangerous to drive
