Bridgestone driveguard tires are extremely susceptible to sidewall damage from potholes! i have 225 45 18 tires on my 2012 camry. this is the fourth tire i've had the sidewall fail the exact same way since buying them 2 years ago. this time it was while pulling up to a stop sign at maybe 20 mph. every time there is a 3 to 4 inch cut along the bead of the tire through the cords. i work for firestone and have seen the same pattern many times on various car, not paying attention to size. it is perfectly clear to me these tires are unsafe for real world use
