The camry hybrid covered only by warranty enhancement zkk are suffering the same dangers from brake booster pump assembly failures as those toyota covered by toyota safety recalls (d0h & k0l). by excluding camry hybrids with defective brakes from the d0h and k0l safety recalls, toyota is leaving the owners to helplessly experience life-threatening brake failure or malfunction before toyota will provide the replacement brake components needed to make the vehicle safe. the law requires toyota to prevent the life-threatening dangers of this brake defect before the failure occurs. toyota's cost-cutting strategies are causing crashes and injuries. injuries and crashes caused by the brake defect explained in this letter have occurred and been reported to the national highway traffic safety administration. toyota's decision to provide a reactionary, post-failure repair - instead of a preventative safety recall remedy - explains many of the crashes and injuries on nhtsa's safercar.gov website. below is a list of relevant complaints from safercar.gov. 'c' indicates a 'crash' and 'i' indicates 'injury': 10681105 (c), 10883971 (c), 10971542 (c), 10664739(c)(i), 10807100 (c), 10794987 (c), 10605988(c), 11154818 (c)(i), 10606258, 10592072, 10967838, 10626061(c), 10604544 (c)(i), 10569158 (c)(i), 11090508 (c)(i), 11057737 (c)(i), ...

Break actuator, 2nd event event 1 complaint number 11234969 23 july 2019, dropped my car off with toyota clovis same dealership (jacob was my rep) because my brakes was making the creaking sound/thumping. i asked him to check my brakes and if that wasn't the problem, call me to let me know what the problem was. he called me later that day and said it was the brakes, they went ahead and changed the brake pads. he said they recommend to change brake actuator fluid? since it wasn't done when they changed the actuator previously and he was going to charge me. i commented that it should have been done back in 2017 when the brake actuator originally failed. i asked if it would affect my car, drivability, etc. and jacob said no it should drive fine with no problems other than a few settle sounds. he said but the brakes are fixed and it's no longer making the sound/ thumping. so i declined the fluid service. 25 july 2019, i was going to get my daughter from school. by then, it had started to make the cheaking noise/thumping. i got just about to her summer school (on fowler ...

As i was driving a loud noise came on inside the car my abs light and brake light came on and then my brakes failed almost causing a huge wreck and from what i have read it is the abs accutator or brake accutator which i guess is the same thing but apparently a lot of the toyota camry hybrids are having this issue where the breaks are failing and causing accidents but yet there are no recalls for it and apparently the part cost 2,900 from toyota which is insane when it should be a recall because it's a major safety issue

I got in my vehicle today in the vsc light came on. i have researched over google, and everything points to a $3,000 repair, or a recall repairable by toyota. i would like to see if i am eligible for that recall repair.

Brakes did not activate, went very soft and pushed to the floor. "check vsc system" message, brake light, traction control light, and another light (in attached image) all came on after the brakes gave out. i was able to use the emergency brake to stop the car off the side of the road. turn the car off and back on. brakes worked again, but all of the warnings are still on. also, seems like the it's just regular brakes and anti-lock system is not working.
