Problems with 2007 Suzuki Forenza ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 suzuki forenza. while driving at 30 mph, the door locks would constantly made a clicking noise and the interior lights emitted burning fumes. the failure recurred numerous times. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the timing belt failed and there was no power to the transmission. the vehicle was not repaired. in addition, the contact also stated that the air condition fan made an abnormal noise. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 100,000.

Put my car in r (reverse) on a level driveway and it made a clunking sound as if it were being forced. the dash gave a signal instead of an r for reverse, a square with a line through it. as i put it into d (drive) it dragged to accelerate. the check engine lamp came on and the local mechanic said his computer read transmission range sensor. he said the trs and the catalytic converter need to be changed. the car needs a couple of motor mounts. this will easily cost me over 800.00 including labor. i just finished having the transmission coils and wires replaced ($350.00) having just purchased this vehicle (used) from a private party; my concerns are high regarding safety and costs for repairs. what of a recall concerning the transmission range sensor? please help!! *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 suzuki forenza. the contact stated that the vehicle began to lose radiator fluid sporadically. the vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic, who was unable to locate a leak of any sort. no repairs were made to the vehicle and the vehicle continued to lose fluid. several weeks later while accelerating from a traffic stop at 45 mph, smoke was seen coming from under the hood. in addition, the engine temperature began to increase rapidly. the contact assumed that the failure was caused by a faulty radiator. the vehicle was parked and upon further inspection, the contact discovered that radiator coolant had exploded all over the engine compartment and under the hood area. the vehicle was inspected by a second mechanic, who advised that the engine cooling fans were failing sporadically. in addition, the head gasket was failing. the vehicle was not repaired. the contact also stated that the transmission range sensor would recurring fail. the transmission range sensor had been replaced four times over the course of 5 years. the manufacturer was contacted but offered no assistance. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 53,000. *tr

When turning my car on and putting it into reverse, the check engine light came on and my car jerked into gear and where the r should appear for reverse on the dash, all the letters were scrambled together. the car drove in reverse and then when i put it into drive, it jerked again and then would hardly accelerate. after driving the car for a couple minutes, turning it off, and turning it back on, it would finally accelerate but the check engine light would still be on and the gears would still jerk. the check engine light would go off after a couple days and everything would be fine and then it would all start again. then my car is starting to switch over into neutral when driving 60mph+ and now it will do this multiple times when driving at any speed. when it switches over to neutral like this while i'm driving, the d for drive on the dash will become scrambled like it does when it jerks into reverse. the problem is getting worse. *kb

Car was sputtering and hesitating. check engine light came on. we took to mechanic and error p0705 transmission range sensor came up as the problem. suzuki is aware of this ongoing problem and they are clearly ignoring the potential for a serious accident to occur by not recalling and rectifying the issue. rather they are relying on their consumers to absorb the expense of this repair. my faith in suzuki has definitely been shaken and this definitely will influence my decision to purchase another suzuki or recommend suzuki. it is time that suzuki step up and admit their negligence, rectify the issue, compensate those who have absorbed the cost of this repair, and restore the faith in its consumers. *kb

I bought a 2007 suzuki forenza 4 door sedan new in 2007 but now the drive lights would not turn off did this once before about three months ago but turned off after about 47 minutes after i took the battery cable a lose. it started again on may 24, 2011 when my wife took our kids to basketball practice she smelt something burning, the car burst into flames with a lot of smoke down by her leg, another motorist saw her and put the fire out with a fire extinguisher. the car does not run it will turn over but not crank no power in car, no lights nothing works. car is full of extinguisher smoke from trying to put fire out. the harness with wires going inside of it inside of car is melted, had to have car towed home 31.9 miles. called suzuki about car they asked me is there a recall on the car, go figure please help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also when car was working the tire pressure gauge stayed on even with new tires that i could not keep on car is wearing tires down and last but not least air conditioner was only blowing hot air even though it is full of freon. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 suzuki forenza. while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. the contact was able to restart the vehicle approximately fifteen minutes after the failure. the contact was able to secure an appointment with the local dealer for diagnostic testing of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 34,000.

I have had numerous issues with the range switch in my 2007 suzuki forenza. the first time at approximately 38k miles, and now again at approximately 70k miles. each time i've had this fixed, it has cost me over $200. suzuki customer service refuses to acknowledge this as a defect, and continues to take money from their clients who purchased faulty vehicles. *tr

This is the 2nd time i have had issues with my car in regards to having to get the drive range sensor repaired; alot of suzuki owners have also had this issue as well. *tr
