We were informed of this recall in august of 2016, and we were advised not to operate the vehicle with a passenger in the front seat. as a family of four, this is extremely inconvenient. it means we can never have an extra passenger, and it means that one adult is always crammed in the back seat with two kids, even on long car trips. we haven't heard a word from toyota since the recall notice, and we're increasingly frustrated, irritated, and unimpressed. by now, toyota should have 1. kept us updated about fixes, and 2. offered us a loaner vehicle, since our use of our car is so limited by the recall.

Takata recall - my complaint is that i've been told not to use the front passenger seat until the airbag is replaced. i called my toyota/scion dealer and they have no date when the repair can be made but it may be months. so meantime i'm stuck with a car with limited functionality since i can't carry a passenger or even put heavy objects on the seat (as that would activate the airbag). and given this limited functionality and age of car, if i tried to sell it now, under this recall, the resale value is being hurt. i'm not satisfied with the time it is going to take to get my vehicle back to normal. what can be done to make toyota act faster or compensate us for the inconvenience?

I receive a recall letter for my air bag. i took the car to the toyota dealership about five months a go and was told that i have to wait for toyota to send me a notification. i have not receive any notification from them. i think that five month to wait for them to fix a problem that can result in serious injury or death is unacceptable.

Takata recall-- recvd notice of recall in august 2016. called beaman pontiac immediately and part was not in. to this day part is not in. my son is driving this car and is 24 so he cannot have a rental. he drives all the time for his job and has his wife with him most of the time. she is not going to ride in the back seat all the time. she could be killed if a wreck occurred. this is not acceptable. i have called several times and nothing can be done.

Takata recall: i got a safety recall on m car for the passenger side air bag, i am not able to drive my car because i have a family of 5. the dealership has had my car since the end of july 2016, they have been nice enough to provide me a rental, however they have had my car for 8 months now, what is going on? i am making car payments on a vehicle that i am not able to drive. what is going to be done about this? i think i need the dealership to give me a new car and give me what i have paid into my car for the last 8 months, on top of what the vehicle is worth private party. why is this taking so long? this is not my fault for the safety recall.

Takata recall we received a recall on our takata airbags the day of my accident. i came to a stop on the street and one car was going to make a left hand turn when i was rear ended by another car. causing damage to me and my passenger. for some reason the airbags did not deploy. creating a dangerous situation either way. we could've been both severely injured and the fact that they didn't deploy we was still injured. i have never been late on a payment, i bought the full service package for the vehicle and our vehicle was never fixed properly over the course of 6+ months that toyota had the vehicle. no we have a vehicle that we are uncertain about driving because it can harm me, my wife and my son while we are all in the car. we feel that the takata airbags are not in just the passenger side but its on the drivers side and the whole car. so we are still driving in fear. we also have a limited edition scion, 849 of 2500 made in the us.

Takata recall: received notice of this recall june 2016, toyota dealer we bought from still cannot make repairs/replace airbags. it is a major danger and inconvenience to not be able to use the vehicle. they and toyota seem un-interested in getting this done and should be held liable for the loss of use. if it cannot be reppaired in a timely manner they should provide a loaner or replacement vehicle.

Takata recall-received notice of airbag recall in june 2016. it is now february 2017 and on 2/24/2017 i called the hotline to inquire when the problem would be solved. the remedy that the notice gave us was not to have anyone sit in front passenger seat. this has become a problem for us as this is not always possible. i was informed that no remedy has been found yet. since june 2016 i have received numerous mailings from toyota offering to buy back my car at a low price. it seems like toyota wants us to either turn in our car for a new vehicle or wait until the vehicle is too old to fix. when will this problem be resolved. a temporary fix should have been in place when the original notices were sent but that is not the case. i was told that the dealership should give us a loaner. i am sure that this would not be the case especially when no repair is even available. can you please advise when the remedy will become available??

Takata recall my complaint is there is no date as to when the defect regarding the takata airbags will be completed. the recommended resolution from toyota is to not have any one ride in the front passenger seat. this is a huge inconvenience. is ridiculous to expect my family to continue to do this for some undetermined amount of time. there must be something else done now so i can continue to use my vehicle driving my family and friends as i should be allowed to do without fear of possible injury or death from the airbags.

Takata recall. i received notice sometime around june/july 2016 of the airbag recall. i have been calling toyota of northbrook, the dealer we purchased the car from, and they have been unable to provide any information as to when this air bag will be repaired. we are planning a trip in august 2017 and need either to have the airbag replaced or a loaner at no cost for the trip.

Takata recall been waiting for toyota/scion to fix airbag problem since summer of 2016. last time i talked to them they said poss jan. just called again jan 24,2017. now they say they cannot given a time frame. how long are we suppose to wait? feel like its an inconvenience because no one can ride w me in the front passenger seat. which seems ridiculous when its only me and one other person in the car.

Takata recall: pax side airbag. notified 6 months ago. use car intermittently to transport elderly father and obese brother, neither of whom can get into the rear seat area. toyota offered a loaner car, but will not give me a similar model (they want to give me a tiny corolla); and, will require me to turn in my car. if turned in, i can't get my car back until repaired, and, they will leave it outdoors, exposed to hail and sun (texas). this is unacceptable. i am being deprived of the right to use my car in the customary manner in which it is used.
