I have a 2004 scion xb. throughout the life of the car, i have experienced similar braking issues to the ones currently being described for the 2010 prius: momentary loss of braking capability while traveling over an uneven road surface, pothole or bump. on 2 or 3 occasions i have brought it to the attention of my toyota dealer when i've had the car in for routine service, but they have said they couldn't replicate the issue and therefore could not address the problem until they can experience it to see what the problem is. i'm not sure wht type of brakes i have on this car.
