Factory wheel cracked after very minor hit on a pothole. *tr

The tires on the scion have been replaced every 4 to 8 months. toyota said its not their problem. i spoke to many mechanics and they do not know why the tires are breaking, they believe its the car design and the low profile tires. i do not speed and avoid pot holes. this is a major safety hazard.

Dt*: the contact stated while driving 40 mph as the vehicle was getting onto an exit, while applying the brake to slow down; the car fishtailed and hit a guardrail. the vehicle was totaled as a result of the extensive front end damage. there were no problems noted with the vehicle prior to the accident and there were no lights illuminated on the dash. there was a police report filed. the police report and the insurance company inspected the vehicle and determined the wheel and hub detached causing the accident. updated 6/30/2006 - *nm
