I have notifications of these various recalls and have tried to get these corrected or at least checked out at the dealership where i purchased my truck. first i was told that appointments were now required. then i was advised that 1st come/1st served was now required and full schedules are usual. now i received another notification. i care for my ram, but my time is also important.

The sheet metal brackets that step bars attach to have ripped out. the metal is weak and ram will not cover it under their warranty.

As previous recall on same model of trucks, the leak issue on the rear window or third brake is still present due to the sealant wearing off and not stopping rain from entering the cab and ruining upholstery , and eventually promoting rust from inside the cab. the vehicle can be stationary or in motion

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ram 1500. upon inspecting the bed floor of the tailgate area, there were several separated seams in the bed panels. the cause of the separations was not diagnosed. the local dealer (c.h. goss of south burlington, vermont) was notified of the failure. the manufacturer was not notified. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 20,000.

At all four roof corners there is a leak that occurs during a rain storm. the issue with this is windows get a moisture issue and impairs vission while driving also creates a mildew issue . this condition happens when it rains , while driving or sitting motionless. road surface doesn't matter.

2012 to present ram 1500 and other model ram pickups have a defect in the roof seam sealing system allowing water to intrude through the roof at the rear of the headliner. water enters the roof at one or both corners and soaks the side curtain airbags and airbag wiring harness. today i checked and my side curtain airbags and wiring were soaked due to this leaking issue. i am fixing mine immediately on my to prevent serious injury or death due to corrosion or shorting of the wiring and water soaked airbags causing them to either deploy unexpectedly or not deploy during a crash. dealers are declining to make the repair indicating it is a cosmetic issue and vehicle owners must pay to have it fixed. this should be an immediate recall due to the high risks of serious injury and death if the airbags deploy unexpectedly on a rear passenger or worse a child and in the event of a crash, not deploy at all or deploy improperly due to being wet and/or electrical short issues. the water comes in at the roof where the rubber strips are meant to seal the roof front to back but there is still small holes that aren't sealed causing the water to get in.

Friday 6/2/17 night we received a lot of rain here in princeton,tx. the next morning i got in my pickup and noticed that the headliner was completely soaked. i checked under the back seat of my pickup and noticed that water had pooled underneath in the storage compartments as well. all of my windows were up and doors completely shut, so i knew it was nothing i did. i checked online and found a ton of threads in forums that pinpointed the culprit as being my third brake light on my cab. apparently the seal on this fixture is sub-par and will warp and cause a gap in between the cab and the fixture itself. this is a very well documented issue affecting thousands of ram owners.

I had a air bad recall regarding the side airbags that i had fixed at adams automotive of annapolis and then on 5/07/14 i was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident due to the side curtain airbags deploying while i was driving. after the collision involving 6 cars when my side airbags deployed, none of the other front airbags deployed when they should have because of how bad the front impact was. i was injured very badly due to this and am possibly being held responsible for the accident until chrysler can confirm this is a big issue regarding the ram pickups! luckily there was no severe injuries but i now have lumbar back injuries and left shoulder injuries, not including what happened to others involved. do i need to hire an attorney?..updated 09/14/17 *bf *cn

Our '14 ram 1500 was bought new on 6/22/15. on 8/9/15 our new 2014 dodge ram was parked on a incline in a friends driveway. my wife and son got in the truck, started it and put it into reverse to leave. after moving only a few feet my wife noticed the hostess coming down the drive to say goodbye. she placed the truck in park, got out of the vehicle leaving the door open and walked to the front of the truck. while giving the hostess a hug, hostess exclaimed your truck is rolling away. my wife tried to run back and around the door to get in the vehicle. before she could, the open door took down two mailboxes and 4x4 timber posts they were mounted on and opened the door beyond the spring limit pushing into the front fender and popping out the front head light. the truck rolled across the street into the neighbors yard hitting a power poll where it came to stop. the impact to the poll was strong enough to pull down power lines. upon reaching the vehicle a male guest noted the vehicle was still in park. my 9 year old was still strapped into his seat belt and significantly shaken up though not injured. the police and utility company arrived. the officer wrote his report up as vehicle malfunction. the tow truck operator said the vehicle could be driven in its condition. he pulled back the door to as close to closed as possible and tied closed. the rear bumper and tailgate are trashed. insurance adjuster has given preliminary estimate of $8,900. the power company has not contacted us yet about their service call. i guess very fortunate that my wife did not make it around the door as she could have been crushed between the door and two mailboxes. also thankful the the truck went straight across the street rather than turning and going down a long hill. have contacted ram and was promised an investigator would be in touch within 3 days. 4th day and still no contact!

Traveling west on i-4, orlando, fl between sand lake road and exit to 528e at 1:25 pm in left hand lane. as i attempted to change lanes to the right i accelerated slightly and felt a "thump" (the only way i can describe it) through the steering wheel and the truck suddenly accelerated and fish tailed. i lost control for that instant and my truck struck the vehicle to my left in the rear by the tail lights on the passenger side. i was able to regain control of my truck and pull to the side of the road as did the other vehicle. my complaint centers on why the truck suddenly accelerated; what was the "thump" that i felt; is there a problem with the transmission (new design for 2014) and the rear differential; what would cause this sudden acceleration? have there been other complaints of this nature on this or other chrysler models? please respond asap.

Windshield glare reflection from dash compromises visibility when driving in sunlight. sunlight reflects off dash causing glare in windshield. many people have complained (forums online) this has been going on for years and occurs in many vehicles. auto manufactures need to put extremely non-reflective material on dashes to counter this. a dull dash mat really helps, proving that it can be mitigated. *tr

Several months ago i noticed that under the rear passenger side seat was wet. initially i believed that something had spilled. approximately one year after i purchased my new ram 1500 i noticed that it began to smell like mildew after it rained. yesterday i noticed that several documents on rear passenger side seat were soaked after it had rained. i then noticed several liquid droplets on my seat and the the corner of the roof above the seat was wet. i researched this issue and noticed that several people have had this issue. some that have resolved the issue have advised that the leak is reportedly coming from the rear brake light on the cab above the rear window. after reading this my wife and i checked that brake light and discovered that it was not functioning. it is reasonable to believe that this is where the water is entering into the cab. i have only noticed the leak after the vehicle has been stationary after it has rained. with the rain rending the rear brake light non-funtional i believe that the water has damaged the wires making this fire hazard and most certainly a safety issue.

Water leakin from outside to inside cab from cad vent located behind rear seat. water pools under rear seat. service air bag system shows on display ever sense dealer serviced vehicle for a recall on airbags abs often on a place itself on the freeway at freeway speeds of anywhere from 60 to 70 miles an hour and drops my vehicle speed down to about 40 to 45.
