My 2012 ram 1500 has a knocking sound coming from the engine compartment and it usually fades out after running the engine a little while. also the the power door locks will not lock or unlock using the switch and the front passenger side window will not roll down. the air conditioner seems to run warm from time to time and has been filled a few times but no leaks were detected. these issues happened over a couple of years owning this truck. i purchased this truck with around 30,000 miles in 2013/2014 it now has 50,000 miles.

I had both the high and low beam on the passenger side out on may 9th. i took it to the dealer and told them that it seemed strange both bulbs would go out at the same time. the dealer pulled the front end apart and changed both bulbs on the passenger side and told me they were burned out and are now fixed. may 10th at 6:30am i got up and started my truck and once again the passenger side high and low beam light was out. the dealer told me the technician actually made sure it was only the bulb no wiring or connection problem and does not know why it is out again. it is very dangerous and also a violation to be driving with a headlight out in the state of maryland. several other people have reported this problem with the faulty electrical connection to the headlights and something should be done before their is an accident or worse. it is now in the same dealer again to see what excuse other than a bulb issue they can come up with to charge me again. i would highly recommend dodge look into this and fix it immediately. *tr

At about 18000 miles on vehicle it suddenly stalled. throttle body control light came on, rpm dropped to almost zero. pumping gas pedal had no effect. condition lasted about 15 to 25 seconds. took truck to dealer and was informed it needed a throttle body software update. this was done. also was performed again later. the stalling is intermittent some times not happening for weeks then again it will happen up to 3 times in a week.bit once stalled on my lady as she was crossing an intersection . vehicle now has 77000 miles on odometer . i thought this just a hassle until about three weeks ago. as i was merging on to the interstate at about 65 mph in front of a big truck the vehicle stalled for a long period. the big rig was within a very few feet of my vehicle before engine started running again. needless to say this scared me big time. this was when i started to look for someone to be in my corner on this vehicle has been serviced by dodge dealership regularly since new. each time i have reported stalls and at one time had a case opened with chrysler. i am told they find nothing and they only have my word this is happening. this from dealer and chrysler

Started vehicle after i ran errands and got about 500 yards before vehicle displayed serious electrical issues. the electrical issues included the windshield wipers running when the windshield wiper control was set to off, displaying a warning that the driver side seat belt was not latched when the seat belt was latched, displaying a low engine fuel warning when there was over half a tank of gas, displaying a warning for low tire pressure when the tire pressure was okay. prior to this incident the vehicle has on occasion been difficult to start, acting as if it was not getting enough fuel or the battery was low. eventually the vehicle engine would engage after several turns of the ignition switch. this is the second time since purchasing this brand new vehicle that we have had electrical issues. the first time the computer had to be rebooted in the vehicle. this time may require the same thing. when i spoke with the dealers service representative, he stated that it could be possible for the computer to turn off the vehicle when experiencing this type of computer malfunction. he said that it might require the driver to coast to a stop. seems as if this scenario, would pose a serious danger or threat to both the occupants of the vehicle and surrounding vehicles that could result in death or injury. *tr
