Existing case #11308350 hissing sound in gas tank while on road in motion, on a city street, and a highway and turning and stationary, even noticed it when truck is turned off and sound will not turn off, killed one battery already, truck does not smell like gas. maybe electrical definitely should be recalled seems dangerous. may also add that driver seat is flat and ripped due to manufacture defect like most cars and trucks, common issue should be recalled thank you
I entered my vehicle 2018ram1500 this morning after it had being stored inside my garage overnight. i sat down, pressed the brake and was about to start it when i noticed the shifter dial was on 'r' and began beeping continuously. i used the ignition button to switch from 'off' "acc" to 'start' and back/forth and pressing on the brake until i was able to shift the transmission to 'p'. once in 'p' i pressed the brake and then started the truck. when i proceeded to move on reverse out of my garage, it began beeping continuously and flashing two messages on the display , "service shifter" followed by "service transmission shut off engine to engage park" then my radio blackout. i could still hear music and was able to control it but there was no display.
My 2013 ram1500 had a vehicle recall for the transmission shifter locking pin. as a result of this defect, my gearshift shifted gears when the brake pedal was not depressed and as a result my truck is now stuck in 4th gear. this damage that was caused as a result of faulty equipment presents a safety hazard because the truck has no response time and can not keep up with the flow of traffic. nor can the truck effectively transit any road resembling an appreciable incline due to be stuck in 4th gear. the i brought my truck to the dealer (cars plus guam) yesterday regarding ram recall t79 and detailed all of this to them. they refuse to address the issue, and have not resolved other issues with the body control module. i know see online that they have closed out my recalls listing them as repaired. they have called me to come pick up the vehicle. but i am not at all satisfied that all proper actions and manufacturer repairs have been completed. i am still stuck with an unsafe operating condition as a result of defective manufactured equipment.
Truck caught fire while driving on highway. no warning signs on dash. started to slow down then smoke started coming from front of hood as if overheating. i pulled over to emergency lane, turned car off , then popping sound causing truck to go into flames and popping with big explosion and burning rapidly. i was able to get out because i had door already cracked open and ran away from vehicle.
The gear shifting mechanism/transmission is faulty. i place my truck into park upon coming to a stop, and my truck rolls away with me in it. this happens intermittently, and could not be repeated at the dealer when i took it in for service. i was told to buy a wheel chock to use to keep it from rolling away.*dt*jb
I bought my 2018 ram 1500 express crew cab 4x4 a year and 2 months ago. in about a month after purchase i got a star-shaped crack on my windshield. in a few days i slightly hit the windshield with a wiper to remove a snow from it. and that star-shaped crack suddenly went all way through the windshield, from side to side. i replaced the windshield with the oem mopar one, identical to the factory one. a few days ago i was driving through a little town where i work, maintaining the speed of 30 mph due to the limit. suddenly i heard something (very far from significantly heavy) hit my windshield. i've got a 3-4 inch crack from the bottom right edge (passenger side). i contacted the manufacturer, and it's representative told me to go to the authorized dealer for inspection. the service manager at the dealership showed me there is a tiny, needle tip size rock chip, about a couple inches from the edge on the crack. he said, there's no issue with anything about the windshield itself and stated that i have to replace it on ...
Ram 1500 express 2012, lack of cabin air filter causes dirt to accumulate in the a/c evaporator core, wich combined with the moisture caused by the normal use of the a/c caused accelerated corrosion in the evaporator core causing a/c gases leak inside the cabin wich went to the atmosphere. its a design flaw for wich i called chrysler customer service if theres a recall for and recived a negative answer, i had to pay 402 dollars to buy a replacement and 33 dollar modification kit to add a cabin filter. the gas leak occurred while i was driving to a tool store to get tools for my job and heard some noise like a leak and felt dizzy so i went ahead and opened the windows to breath fresh air because the gas leak made me feel sick so i dad to stop, all freon leaked within minutes. i appreciate the opportunity to fix this known issue because after looking online for air filters for that year wich by design don't have it i was shown modification kits from a lot of diferent sites so its a well known issue ...
Was told the exhaust manifold bolt/studs warped and snapped and the exhaust manifold is warped, this happened on the driver side first but was covered under warranty but now happening on driver side out of warranty. was told my dealership they see this often and was told fca has fixed the problem in newer years by using stronger material in the bolts. this informs me that fca knows of the problem but the dealers won't cover it as a design defect. clearly there is a design defect with the exhaust manifold bolts as they should not be doing this and manufactures are suppose to account for these parts to see extreme temp changes. this has happened now twice to me but because i am no longer under warranty they won't fix the problem. the fist time was before 60,000 miles and now the other side is happening at 76,000 miles. to summarize the problem is warped exhaust manifold bolts and the manifold itself.
My 2014 dodge ram blows a powder out of the vents. i was driving down i5 doing about 60 mph and my heater kicked on blowing a white powder from the vents into my eyes. i was temporarily blinded and almost lost control of my truck. i was able to squint out of 1 eye and get pulled over safely to the side of the road. i believe my contacts saved my eyes. as the evaporator starts breaking down it allows a powder to form that can blow in your face. dodge should have something installed in front of the evaporator that would prevent this from happening.
While driving at interstate speeds for approximately 130 miles (2.5 hours), vehicle sputtered and lost power, it stabilized at~40 mph. a check engine light and red lighting bolt displayed. we exited the interstate and made course to a dealership utilizing smaller hwys. en-route to the repair shop, at about 40 mph, vehicle started emitting smoke to include inside the cabin. stopped the vehicle and evacuated all 4 people inside. flames and heavy smoke soon became visible as we watched from afar. large flames grew and quickly engulfed the whole vehicle. fire department arrived and put out the fire.
