Good day, i receive a letter for the airbag safety recall its say in the letter that its free service for airbag recall and there's free loaner car and towing. i went to the nissan dealer for the airbag recall. drop off my car and i ask the dealer if there's a car for me they said no loaner car .i leave the car there so i used uber because i need tp drop of my kids in the school. after 3 hours they called me they said car is ready to pick up so i went back there to pick up the car. but i noticed the airbag sign still flashing i asked them why the airbag still flashing they said they fix it already and i told them still flashing. i'm scared to drive the car because im using this car everyday and i have 3 kids my passenger. they said there's nothing they can do they want me to leave the car 1 day or more 1 day so that they can diagnose the. i told them if that so i need a loaner car but they said there's no loaner car. i don't have a choice i need my car this my only transportation everyday.until now still flashing the airbag there's no second or minute im really scared to use this car. why they cant fix the airbag . no loaner car but its said in the letter its free loaner and towing. please help me to fix this problem.,

Nissan vehicle was on a main city road in motion and then slowing down to traffics change in speed when rear ended. as soon as vehicle was rear ended, brakes were pressed to prevent further collisions with vehicles up forward. my vehicle seatbelts failed to restrain driver and all passengers wearing them during a collision. seat belts didn't retract unless brakes were slammed. two passengers in the back were children. one child had a convertible car seat, saving them and fully restraining them to seat. the second child was in a booster seat and whiplashed completely forward and back nearly hitting head behind drivers seat. the driver locked their arms in place to prevent hitting the steering wheel. the front passenger, myself, hit the area of the glove compartment and suffered a small but deep gash on the forehead. this required sutures to close womb up. no air bags deployed when impact to vehicle was made. airbags were replaced when recall to vehicle airbags were made in the past, 2017.*dt vehicle has not been repaired. tracking number xxxxxxxx 'parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).'*jb

I took my car in to nissan for recall they suposeively fixed the airbag problem . since then i has a small fender bender. airbag did not pop open. last week the car was in an accident. the front was severly danmaged and still airbag did not pop out. i dont think it ever got fixed!!!! my son could have died.who is responsible for this. i'm i complaining to the correct place???

I took my car to a local nissan dealership for an airbag recall on the driver side and after the recall was supposedly done because after this i'm not even positive they worked on my car for that recall. after the recall was done now the car horn in my steering wheel is not working when it was working before. the nissan advisor said that they can't fix it and the reason is because is an old car. they want me to pay almost 700 hundred dollars for them to fix what they ruined. now i have no car horn. this is a safety hazard for anyone on the road. a car horn works to advice other drivers of any hazard. from this happening to me i now think that they didn't do anything in regards to airbag recalls and that i just took my car just for them to scam me so i can pay for a part that was working and that they ruined. the nissan i went too is naples nissan in naples, florida. i also have called nissan consumer affairs and they haven't done anything in this matter i have two claim numbers already i have called twice and there not doing anything about this matter.

Takata recall

I received notice that my car has a recall on the air bags

Tl* takata recall. the contact owns a 2011 nissan versa. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 18v401000 (air bags); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. the dealer (tom hesser nissan, 900 harry p o'neill hwy, dunmore, pa 18512, 1-570-558-2000) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were unavailable for the recall repair. the manufacturer was notified and could not assist. the contact had not experienced a failure. parts distribution disconnect.

Owner notification the front driver and passenger air bag inflator can explode in a crash which could result in metal shrapnel striking or other occupants in the vehicle, wich could cause serious injury or death, and the dealer falls or is unable to make the necesary repairs free.

Tl* takata recall. the contact owns a 2011 nissan versa. the contact stated that the air bag warning indicator remained illuminated. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v449000 (air bags). the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the vehicle was taken to balise nissan of warwick (located at 1350 post rd, warwick, ri 02888, (401) 352-5908), but the parts were not available for the repair. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 129,000. the vin was not available.

The driver side air bag inflator light flashed and took it to the dealership to get that recall fixed and was told that the clock spring was the defect which made the air bag light come on which the air bag was defected and the horn did not work. what started out as a free service turned into a cost of $311 which i did not have. if the air bag inflator light comes on because of the defected clock spring then why isnt the clock spring the recall item. seems to me that inorder for it all to work it is the clock spring that needs the recall.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 nissan versa. the contact noticed that the driver's side air bag indicator was illuminated. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v449000 (air bags). the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the driver's side air bag needed to be replaced and taken to a dealer for repair. the vehicle was taken to courtesy nissan (1777 n central expy, richardson, tx 75080, (972) 231-2600), but was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the vin was not available. the failure mileage was 81,806.

Takata recall i went to grey daniels nissan in brandon, mississippi last year (i want to say august) after reading an article on a financial column i follow in regards to the takata air bags. i was not notified in anyway prior to that. i bought my vehicle used from someone which is what i blamed for not being notified. (however i know that is quite possible that a large company such as nissan keeps records of vins and could track their vehicle's ownership through that) they replaced the passenger side air bag and broke part of my dash in the process. i was notified that the driver's side air bag was unavailable for replacement and would not be until the beginning of this year. even though i know that they make replacement air bags for vehicles, i made an excuse and told myself, "maybe it's a certain company they're going with." i have been trying to get the driver's side replaced since the beginning of this year. their website would not allow me to schedule anything more than two days in advance until last week, when it allowed four days in advance. i made my appointment and clearly stated why i was coming in. i was informed that it would was not available at that time and they would have to order it. i know people who have other manufacturers who have gotten a rental car while they were fixing the air bag. i was told to contact my insurance company so the insurance company would pay for the rental, not nissan.

Takata inflators: i verified with nissan consumer affairs that the passenger side airbag inflator was also under recall as of january 2018 and i was told to advise the dealer. i went jan 26 to get the drivers side inflator fixed and advised the service guy that the passenger side had also been recalled, so i would like them both fixed. when i picked up my car he had only requested the driver side to be repaired. i was late to work so i left but i was very upset because i have to take my mother to her appointments and do not have time to keep going back and forth to the dealer.

Takata recall

Takata recall: i got this recall information from tk holdings about the airbag recall and when i am contacting my dealership it says its not available until spring 2018. when can this be replaced at the earliest and why this delay is occurring at the first place.

Tl* takata recall. the contact owns a 2011 nissan versa. the contact stated that the dealer failed to provide the part for an air bag recall for over two months. the remedy failed to provide a solution and the air bag warning indicator remained illuminated after the air bag recall repair. the dealer (kingston nissan, 140 ny-28, kingston, ny 12401, (845) 338-3100) provided a loaner vehicle for two months. after retrieving the vehicle, the dealer had not yet provided a solution after the contact informed the dealer that the recall repair failed to correct the failure. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was not available.

Tl* takata recall. the contact owns a 2011 nissan versa. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v449000 (air bags); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the zeigler orlando park nissan dealer (8550 w 159th st, orland park, il 60462(708) 403-1300) was contacted and confirmed that the parts would not be available until spring of 2018. the manufacturer was contacted and confirmed that the parts would not be available until the spring of 2018. the contact had not experienced a failure. vin tool confirms parts not available. *tt *tr

Takata recall i am being forced to take my car off the road and either get a rental or purchase a new car. the dealer ship will not have the parts until late spring of 2018. that means my car will be off the road for at least 6 months. recall #17v-449

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 nissan versa. while the contact was in traffic on the highway, the horn failed to function. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that, due to the air bag, the horn failed. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the vin was included in nhtsa campaign numbers: 17v449000 and 16v349000 (air bags). the manufacturer was not contacted. the approximate failure mileage was 112,012.

I have received a recall for airbag on driver's side. the new airbag will not be available until spring 2018. the nissan dealer recommends that i do not drive the car and hire a car from enterprise. the loan car would be free, but i would have to pay full coverage insurance. the cost of that would be $28 per day. this is ridiculous! i cannot pay that amount. what do i do? do i risk injury by driving the car? what is the actual risk? nobody can tell me.

Notification of recall 11/2017

Takata recall. i contacted antwerpen nissan -security (baltimore, md), but was told they will not serve vehicles affected by this recall until march of next year. meanwhile, i am driving my kids in this car every day, which is very risky in case something happens and the airbag is deployed!

Takata recall - i was recently notified that my 2011 nissan versa has a safety recall due to the takata airbags. i was told they will not be able to repair it until spring of 2018 when parts are unavailable. the only option they gave me was a loaner vehicle that i would be required to bring back to the dealership every month to renew and i would not be compensated for my time and inconvenience in having to repeatedly drive to the dealership. i do not want a loaner vehicle for many reasons, if they cannot repair it they they should have to buy it back but they have refused to do so. i am now forced to drive an unsafe vehicle, risking injury and death on a daily basis since i cannot afford to buy another car.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 nissan versa. while driving approximately 45 mph, the steering lost power. the vehicle was turned off and restarted, and the power steering warning indicator illuminated. the failure recurred. the dealer was not contacted. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign numbers: 17v449000 (air bags) and 16v349000 (air bags). the failure mileage was approximately 11,000. parts distribution disconnect.

Takata recall nhtsa recall 17v-449 i would like my recall taken care of asap as i am concerned with safety. i was told when i had my vehicle serviced the parts are not available yet.

Nissan will not provide me with a replacement car today and i am not driving a vehicle with a serious airbag recall.

Takata recall i was told to park my car until parts are available. i only have this vehicle to drive. what am i supposed to do ? i do not have the money to buy or rent a car. what is nissan going to do to help me ?

After receiving by mail notification of the recall, i went to a nissan dealer trying to get a rental car. first attempt an associate approached me "trying to make her sell"... i presented my notification and immediatly she changed her approach. she told me it was too late and that i need it to come back. i went back a couple days later and earlier, at 04:00pm as she requested. again, no one was able to helped me getting a rental or substitute vehicle. i requested for them to check with other nissan dealers, but i just got a "no" for an answer: "i am busy, i have too much load work... etc" i called myselft to another nissan dealer and they told me they will call me back in about two weeks, when they have an available rental car for me.... until now that dealer haven't call me yet. i went to a nissan dealer, and at this point i was all concerned due to my new job commute. finally i found an associate willing to help, but i have to paid deposit ($50.00) for the rental car and increased my insurance payments up $130 monthly premium (updated to full coverage even after i paid off my car -nissan versa 2011-) any dealer associate showed corncen for the safety recall nor for any possible fatal accident.

Takata inflators. i have received notice, that my nissan dealership cannot repair my at risk airbags, until the spring. they also have run out of loaner cars available. i just find this worrisome, that i have to drive a car, that could have a defect, for this long of a time.

Takata recall we received a recall notice for the takata airbags. the notice states that the problem with the airbags could cause injury or death. but the parts are not available for replacement until spring 2018! this is completely unacceptable.

Takata recall - i have contacted nissan's corporate offices after calling local nissan dealers to coordinate the replacement. i was told by the dealers that the recall and replacement of parts will not begin to take place until spring of 2018. i was told the same by their corporate offices. i explained that i don't feel comfortable and safe operating the vehicle and was advised to contact my local dealership for a loaner. i was told by all of my local dealers that my request is not feasible as their loaner vehicles are limited and intended for other purposes. i informed them that it was their corporate office who offered it as a solution, but they said no. when icalled their corporate offices to inquire as to why i was advised to request a loaner in the meantime, they asked me to be patient and wait until they're ready to replace the parts. again, i asked why the aforementioned solution was initially offered if it wasn't an option. i was met with the same statement and their representative stated that to date, there have been no incidents reported involving this particular issue. i asked, if that's the case, how was your company made aware of this safety issue and i wasn't given an answer. they repeated themselves and offered no viable solution. at the moment, i need the vehicle for transportation to/from work and i pray that i don't get involved in any type of accident. since then, i've been receiving solicited calls from the dealerships regarding the recall. however, it's not to replace the defective part(s), it's to purchase another vehicle as a solution to the recall. it's preposterous that the would even call regarding the recall to solicit sales instead of actually addressing the issue.

Obviously no one in this organization reads peoples letters. i have not requested to purchase a versa, i already own a versa that for the last 2 years has been under recall for an exploding airbag that can cause death or injury, and that nissan hopes to get it fixed sometime next year. i was not to let anyone ride in the front passenger seat for a year because of the passenger airbag, so passengers were relegated to the back seat. . now it's the drivers airbag. will nissan recommend driving from the back seat? my letter said i was interested in the loaner car mentioned in the newest recall letter i received. if you do not have the authority to speak with me in regards to that matter, perhaps you could direct me to someone who may. this is the letter i sent to nissan after which i was flooded with calls and emails because i showed interest in purchasing a versa. the recall said spring of 2018 to repair, i'm in florida, the capitol of high humidity. the passenger airbag was a year from the promised fix date, and i cannot drive around waiting for my steering wheel to explode. if they can build new cars, they have airbags available. someone needs to pressure them to get this done or buy these vehicles back. thanks for your attention.

Received a recall notice, but cannot get anyone from nissan to give me risk or remedy information.
