2014 nissan titan. consumer writes in regards to a bad brake booster. *ld the consumer stated the vehicle was involved in an accident due to the brake booster failure. the manufacturer was notified. *js

Brakes went out and pedal went to the floor. abs brakes came on. not a hard brake at all. couldn't stop in time pulling into parking space and hit fence pole damage to front bumper center and passenger side fender. this could of been life or death situation if on road way if had to stop for traffic or pedestrians

Applied brakes and brake light came on. pedal was soft and made a grinding sound. brakes still worked but not very well. cleared the problem by turning off engine and restarting. this has happened before. i video taped with my cell phone before resetting. had this checked several years ago and dealer reset something. he said it may or may not fix the problem. it didn't fix the problem. he said the cost to replace the faulty part would be approx.$900.00. i feel this should be a recall as it is a potential hazard if braking had to be done suddenly at a high rate of speed. *tr
