A fire, seeming to start under the dash, spontaneously erupted and destroyed the entire vehicle and some very expensive property in the bed. the truck was setting still at the time. my understanding is that this is not an isolated case. i have never installed any after market equipment on the vehicle.

Flange connecting tailpipe to muffler rusted through. remaining exhaust system in pristine condition and without any type of rust. this disconnect between muffler and tailpipe allowed hot exhaust to melt wiring harness that runs along the entire length of the exhaust system. this damage to the wiring harness resulted in loss to abs, ecm, traction control, fuel pump, fuel pump temp sensor, evap pressure sensor, evap vent control valve, rr abs wheel speed sensor and fuel level sensor. *tr
