Leaking wheel seal on right outboard axle

Rear end broke. ak

I was driving on highway heard a bong two days later i found a dent upward in bed of truck and found a broken shackle. after replacing part and looking how it was made you could see that it a poor design. roll metal with 2 small welds that prevent metal from unrolling. all weight of back of truck and any jarring cause it to sap. if both side fail and i had to make any sudden move you could loose the hole back suspension. i have digital pictures of fail part in question. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2005 nissan titan. the contact stated that while changing the rear brakes, he noticed that the seals on the rear axle were leaking oil. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the failure was not diagnosed, but the seals were replaced. the failure since recurred three times. after the first two recurrences, the vehicle was taken back to the dealer for repairs. the vehicle was not repaired for the most recent recurrence because the vehicle was no longer under warranty. the failure mileage was 30,000 and the current mileage was 98,000.

Dt*: the contact stated while driving 10 mph on normal road conditions, the right front wheel spindle fractured making the vehicle pull hard to the left. the were no warning signals. the vehicle was taken to the dealership who honored the warranty and performed the repairs. the contact was concerned because this kind of failure was not supposed to happen in a such a low mileage vehicle.

Tl* the contact owns a 2005 nissan titan. the contact stated that the rear axle leaked onto the brakes and the exhaust manifold was fractured. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was found that the manifold needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the contact also mentioned that the vehicle was previously repaired under a manufacturer's recall for the suspension. the manufacturer was contacted about the failure. the failure mileage was 12,000.

Dt*: the contact stated at various speeds the front end vibrated. the dealership determined the problem was with the tires and the tires were rotated. this did not resolve the problem.

I drive 2005 nissan titan truck 99.9% of the time in 2 wheel drive on highway w/o towing. at 17,500 miles the rear end made a loud banging noise and then grinding noise. rear end failed first time. at 21, 500 miles same thing happened again!*ak

Loud clunk when accelerating, slack in drive line when shifting. dealer replaced entire rear end. *nm

We purchased a truck from nissan in october of 2004. it has been in the shop many times and in december of 2004, it was there over 30 days. the transmission and the rear end have both gone out, windows don't roll up and down correctly, rattling in the cab where the visor and garage door openers are held. the brake, vdc, tow, and abs switch stay on all the time. the brakes are going out and the whole truck shimmies. now in addition to the transmission being replaced once, it's slipping again. nissan stated they would pay for the rental on the 30 days, but that was a lie. they socked me with an $283.00 bill. $181.00 was to fill up the tank with gas!!!!!!! there are also missing valves on the tires they themsleves took off and didn't replace and the alarm goes off by itself when no one is around. give me a break...nissan states this does not qualify for the lemon law. i need help in this situation. *ak
