This last time to the nissan in my area, i had them look at my passenger airbag sensor, as the sensor indicates off, even if there is no weight on the seat. my service advisor and the head of the service department both said that it's not clear if the airbags will deploy if the sensor is off. they said i could get it replaced, but the issue is: it will cost $2,600 because they need to replace the whole seat. come to find out, this is actually an issue reported to the nhtsa from other 2011 rogue owners. i am the primary driver in my family, but now i am worried to transport anyone. it doesn't look like there has been a recall, but this is an issue that can cause me to sell my vehicle and not get another nissan. i am now worried of getting into an accident and knowing full well my airbags, the one thing built into the vehicle to keep people safe, may or may not deploy, and may or may not keep people safe. $2,600 to fix a car defect isn't an option for me. planning a funeral for someone who chooses to ride in my front seat isn't an option either. i am truly at a loss for what to do next, but i am heartbroken that it's come down to those two options. i wanted to keep my rogue for a few years more - i love it, but safety is my number one priority. i wish safety was a priority to nissan to make this a recall, but it seems like profits have surpassed customer safety. the sensor has been on for months, but the first time they said there was nothing that could be done.
Electrical problmes. none of the buttons in the steering wheel works, the camara screen goes black, the seat cannot be adjusted to move forward so i have to drive with my leg stretch. also the windows control is not fuctioning,
After stopping at stop signs or lights a super slow jerky take off. also jerks and loses speed when going up hill. had shut completely off on me at stop lights 3different times.
When making turns car loses power and at times stops completely. electrical issues include navigation system and interior/ dashboard lights not coming on or popping on randomly. moon roof will not open/close unless i keep pushing the button 10 or more times.
I was traveling on the meadowbrook state pkw today (04/29/19) about 2min in , the traffic came to a complete stop for about 30 sec , i slowly started to accelerate but noticed the car was rolling backwards . i checked to make sure the leaver was still in drive , which it was , i mabe a second attemp but still rolling backwards by then tge person behind me started honking . i immediately turn my flaher on , put it into park and turn the ignition off waited a little then turn the engine back on put it back into drive then it started moving forward . i am sgaken up over the fact that i could have accelerate harder and there would have been an accident .
Shortage issue drawing power from somewhere to cause corrosion on battery and cause car to stall or not start.
My vehicle gets water on the driver's side floor, up to an inch and causes electrical issues. nissan stated they fixed the issue but did not deal my vehicle and it's not their problem after the first fix. water is there when driving, parked or any time the road is wet or raining.
Electrical function in the vehicle it's like it has a shortage in it. when i plug my gps or my phone it would go out, and not charging. also the usb portal also goes out. this is happens when the car is driving or when it's park.
While driving on the high way i was going to use my cruse control and when i pushed it it was not working. after that day all my other buttons on my steering wheel slowly started to stop working. then while i was driving last night on a city street a car was going to come into my lane while and i went to honk my horn and it no longer worked.
My emergency lights does not work my engine is slipping transmission fluid going bad after one week keep changing it my ac don't come on and when i travel a distance my car go 20 mph and can't go no faster help and got the problem fix and the problems still occurring and now the check engine light is on again i was stuck on the side of the road for six hours
Car caught on fire while parked on the street in front of my house.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 nissan rogue. while driving, the vehicle decelerated independently and stalled. the contact mentioned that the malfunction warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to modern nissan of lake norman (18615 statesville rd, cornelius, nc 28031), but could not be diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 140,000.
My car would not start up. all gauges were fluttering and flickering, door locks were locking and unlocking rapidly, then the car went dead. gave it jump and it started. next day it died again, gave it a jump and it started. while i was driving it shut off suddenly and completely, giving me no time to steer. the car was dead again. replaced the battery and problem still exists. very dangerous to be driving and have the car just stop completely. i'm lucky i wasn't hit.
Yesterday i was driving to work in the city took a left hand turn onto a busy street beside the highway and all of a sudden my steering wheel took control and pulled the wheel to the right i nearly crashed into a guard rail. i pulled the wheel back to the left and was absolutely freaked out by what had happened. last evening all of a sudden i turn my car off go into a store come out an hour later and nothing at all when i turned the ignition key. no lights no dash lights no noise at all is was as if battery was completely dead. new battery installed 4 months ago. i thought i may have left something on and caused the battery to drain, however, a few minutes later the car dashboard lights up on its own with the key still in the ignition but not turned on to the start position. i turned the key and the car started. this morning i went to leave for work, same thing car absolutely dead. i checked under hood, thought perhaps loose cables to the battery. i checked and saw no loose cables i wiped around the area with a paper towel got back in car turned key and the car started. i drive to work in boston park the car in my employee parking garage and get out of the car and went to automatically lock the doors and nothing. no security light on inside of the car, totally dead again! i'm wondering if this is an issue with many other nissan's as i read online many complaints of this same issue. has there been a recall for this issue? what is the issue? i need to get this resolved please. i can't have a vehicle that is undependable especially when i am making car payments on this vehicle every month. it is rather scary that this may be an electrical or steering issue for safety reasons. the car went out of control on its own yesterday.
Takata recall i would like to inform everyone of our issue on our 2011 nissan rogue. while driving on the freeway we lost all power in an instant. this is not safe! we also saw the issue of not being able to accelerate and even when on cruise control it completely falling off due to lack of power.

Door locks throughout the vehicle do not lock/unlock as they should automatically (driver side door and both back passenger doors). have to manually lock/unlock. in case of an emergency of an accident/fire etc., the doors wouldn't unlock in order to get infants, toddlers and young children out of the vehicle in a hurry. if i were being followed/stalked, i wouldn't be able to lock all my doors for my own safety. belongings in my vehicle are at risk. please issue a recall to get this safety issue resolved as soon as possible. just look at the lock problems on all forums on the internet with various nissan models. estimate of $500 per door to fix each actuator is insane. i do not have over $2,000 to fix something that should be recalled and fixed by nissan. at first, i wasn't sure what was going on. after leaving/locking the vehicle and then returning, one of my passengers would pull on their door or i'd pull on the door handle on the driver side and my alarm would go off. i had locked/alarmed the car when existing but the doors were not actually locked so when you returned to the vehicle and pulled on door handle you were able to open the door (due to lack of lock actually locking) which caused the alarm to sound. paying closer attention to see if in fact the locks were locking/unlocking which they were not. when i arrive at destinations, turn the vehicle off, the doors remain locked and i manually have to unlock before i can exit the vehicle is another incident in which i realized there was a problem.
Tl* the contact owns a 2011 nissan rogue. the contact stated that the vehicle stalled several times and failed to accelerate upon coming to a stop. the vehicle was to be inspected by a dealer and a mechanic. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 75,000.
Whenever i am driving on the highway, and my vehicle is on cruise; the cruise mechanism drops off and the speed starts to decline. yesterday, the vehicle went all the way down to zero and the vehicle just coasted along the side of the highway. once the battery was disconnected and reconnected; the vehicle will run again, but the reset only lasts for about a day or so. this has been happening to my vehicle when travel involves long distances since 2013 now. yesterday, was the first day the speed went all the way down and the vehicle began coasting along the highway.
Tl* the contact owns a 2011 nissan rogue. while the vehicle was undergoing routine maintenance, the technician stated that the brake lights failed to illuminate. the technician stated that the failure occurred due to water leakage that caused an electrical shortage. the contact was made aware of nhtsa campaign number: 15v032000 (electrical system), however, the vin was not associated. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 33,200.
The vehicle caught fire while parked overnight in a garage. the entire vehicle was engulfed in smoke and much of the interior driver's side melted with the heat. my family woke in the middle of the night to the sound of the horn continuously blaring. we discovered a smoldering fire inside the car which was extinguished by the fire department. the vehicle was removed from our property and is believed to be a total loss. we later discovered a recently-issued recall for corrosion of the electrical harness below the floor mats, causing a short in the electrical panel - this appears to be the cause of the incident but it is currently under investigation by our insurance company and nissan north america. *js

Backing out of the drive way the power steering would make a noise and momentarily catch. this happened for about10 days and i took it to my car repair shop and the power steering fluid was leaking on the inside of the vehicle and the electronic control panel was malfunctioning. i was told i needed a new electronic column assembly. i had it toed to the nissan dealer. *tr
Whenever you open the rear passenger door on the drivers side the trunk opens on its own, i found out about this because the light on the dashboard would turn on at first i couldn't understand why but soon discovered that the trunk door was open and it happen every time you open that specific rear passenger door on drivers side. it is unsafe because i do carry items in the back like groceries and such and if i wouldn't of found out about this someone behind me could have been hurt due to this.where i bought the vehicle i did let them know and they fixed it but not even a year has passed and it started to occur again i'm not sure if there is something wrong electronically or how these two doors are connected but it occurs every single time you open that specific door.
on july 23, 2015, i was driving home at 35 miles per hour and suddenly my vehicle stalled lights flashed on dash board. i turned everything off and attempted to restart it and only heard a trembling noise and clicking of the dashboard. in 1 hour i was able to start the car after getting it jumped. battery was tested by dealer on july 22,2015 right before i purchased my rogue 2011( used). second incident happened in parking lot of a store where i parked to shop on july 31st,2015. i was unable to restart my vehicle until it got jumped again. this vehicle passed all inspections at the dealer and should have no problems with battery, however it is appearing that ipdm is faulty and could cause a crash and even death of my family anytime this happens again while i'm driving this vehicle. please start recall so no one dies due to this problem!
On september 26, 2013 i had brought my 2011 nissan rogue car in for service because my rear right door was not locking/unlocking properly, as it turned out the latch was defective, it was replaced. two months later, i returned to the dealership because the driver''s door was having problems locking/unlocking. as it turned out that latch was defective as well. (that latch was replaced on december 3, 2013.) during this visit i asked that all the doors be checked (while under warranty) because it seemed that perhaps this was a defect in the car''s manufacturing. my warranty has since expired as of may, 2014 and two months later in august, 2014 the rear driver''s door and now the front passenger''s door are malfunctioning. (doors have to be open/closed and locked/unlocked manually.) this not only is a burden, but as a single women it is a security risk not only to my person but to the vehicle itself. i had contacted dealership on both of these issues at the time of the malfunctions, and they had advised me that they can only repair the problem at my expense since the warranty has since run out. (needless to say, i really don''t understand the dealership''s position on this issue concerning the problems leading up to a total malfunctioning of locking/unlocking system, since it has been an ongoing issue and well documented problem at their dealership.) *tr
I bought this car new, i have 2 years with the car and my battery is broken. *tr
I am scared to drive my rogue 2011 after having several serious problems with my car. the first incident happened in january 2012. i just pulled out into oncoming traffic when my car felt heavy and dragging as i pushed on the accelerator. i was pushing down hard on the gas and the car was barely moving. then it died in the middle of the intersection. this put me in a dangerous situation. it was towed to the dealer and repaired. the second incident took place 4 days later. the same exact thing happened again, but this time i was able to pull over to the side of the road before the car died. i had it towed to the dealer for repairs again. on february 3, 2012 i was driving on the highway when the engine light came on and my car began shaking and vibrating. i drove somewhere safe and then had it towed to the dealer. i am hoping the car will be recalled because i am afraid to drive my car and i don't have any other transportation. this is not normal to have such serious problems with a new car. *tr
