Problems with 2009 Nissan Rogue SEATS

On average, the 2009 Nissan Rogue starts to “feel” problems with the SEATS and its various aspects after 74 280 miles.

Recently reported SEATS problems on 2009 Nissan Rogue

I have the srs light constantly on and was diagnosed that the occupant seat sensor is bad and need replacement. this device stop the passenger seat air bag from deploying even if there is an occupant, so they are at risk. don't understand why users need to pay out of pocket for a safety device that should work. 2008 nissan rogue was recalled, so why other year aren't if the problem is not solved.

Passenger side airbag light stays on. reset by dealer, and back on within a day or two. dealer now says they have traced this back to a faulty sensor in the seat cushion, and the cost of the part alone is over $2000.00 this is a major safety issue, there a numerous complaints on here for various years of rogues. and that is just from the people who have taken the time to voice concern.

Blinking airbag light on dashboard. took it to the dealer they charged $115 for inspection and said that passenger seat cushion needs to be changed which has ocs sensor built in, which would cost additional $1965. this is a common problem with all nissan rogue 2009 and the company must recall to resolve this as if the airbags do not deploy in case of accident it could cause serious injuries or death

Air bag failure - the airbag sensor in the passenger seat failed which caused the entire airbag system to not work (as noted by the flashing airbag light on the dash as well as the secondary airbag light constantly on near the gear shifter). this is a safety issue and concern. this particular year of the nissan rogue was not part of a recall (2008 and 2010 were included in a recall for the exact same issue). as a result, in order for the airbag system to work and to remain safe in the car when driving, it requires a new passenger seat cushion. this repair costs greater than $2000 (part and labor).

Passenger air bag warning light is on constantly, gainesville nissan (fl) charged over $100 to tell me the seat sensor is bad and $2,500 to fix it. 2008 and 2010 rogues are covered by recall, but not 2009. will never buy nissan again! safety issue, they don't care if customers die.

The air bag light comes on . vehicle was service at balise nissan dealership to try to figure out what the problem was and see if they can fix it . all they did was reset the light and once we drove off dealership parking lot the light came back on like 10 min after .

The air bag indicator light blinks on the instrument panel and the passenger airbag indicator light (near the gear shifter) stays on all the time. the nissan customer forums indicate this is a significant problem with the ocs airbag sensor located in the passenger seat. nissan has not recalled this vehicle to correct this safety issue. nissan refers owners to the local dealer's service center to have it replaced at the owner's expense.

Passenger side seat belt sensor warning light remains lit at all timeswhether or not there is a passenger in the seat regardless if the vehicle is moving or not.

I own a 2009 nissan rogue with 44,000 miles on it. about 3 weeks ago my driver's seat wouldn't open from the outside, and about a week ago the same thing happened with the passenger seat. i am now obligated to enter my car through the back seat. i did my research and found that this has been happening to many rogues and there are even recalls on some model years (except for mine of course). the service department at the hudson nissan on route 440 in jersey city, nj want to charge me $130.00 just to take the door apart to see what the issue is. needless to say i did not agree with the price. what do i do? i have a nearly new car that i can't get into and this is a nissan issue as it has happened to many rogue owners. *tr

The electrical unit that controls the passenger air bag, located in the right passenger seat, has been found to be in nonworking order by the dealer and dealer claims there is no active recall regarding that malfunction. for the dealer to replace said part would cost the owner $2000.

The passenger air bag light intermittently indicates that the passenger air bag is off while the seat is occupied by an adult. this is the same problem for which a recall was issued for 2007-2008 nissan rogues and many other nissan models. the nissan service department cannot find the problem. *tr
