We have classified the 73 complaints from 2009 Nissan Rogue about AIR BAGS into the following categories.
My nissan rogue 2009 passenger airbag warning light is now blinking> i took it to a repair shop and they said the seat sensor has went bad. i understand that this is the exact issue as the ntb08-095 recall affecting the 2008 nissan rogue but it is not covered for the 2009. this warning alert was reset, but it didn't work. the estimated cost to fix this is $2000.
My car honk is no longer working, the technician checked the fuse box but did not see any issues.
I have the srs light constantly on and was diagnosed that the occupant seat sensor is bad and need replacement. this device stop the passenger seat air bag from deploying even if there is an occupant, so they are at risk. don't understand why users need to pay out of pocket for a safety device that should work. 2008 nissan rogue was recalled, so why other year aren't if the problem is not solved.
Passenger side airbag light stays on. reset by dealer, and back on within a day or two. dealer now says they have traced this back to a faulty sensor in the seat cushion, and the cost of the part alone is over $2000.00 this is a major safety issue, there a numerous complaints on here for various years of rogues. and that is just from the people who have taken the time to voice concern.
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. the contact stated that the driver's side air bag was illuminated. the contact reset the warning indicator, but the failure recurred two weeks later. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 62,000.
Blinking airbag light on dashboard. took it to the dealer they charged $115 for inspection and said that passenger seat cushion needs to be changed which has ocs sensor built in, which would cost additional $1965. this is a common problem with all nissan rogue 2009 and the company must recall to resolve this as if the airbags do not deploy in case of accident it could cause serious injuries or death
Takata recall - flashing air bag dash light renders the air bag system susceptible to failure. exact same issue with 2008 and 2010 model nissan rogue covered under recall. why not 2009 model?! issue a recall for 2009 model nissan rogue to fix this issue by year end.
Air bag failure - the airbag sensor in the passenger seat failed which caused the entire airbag system to not work (as noted by the flashing airbag light on the dash as well as the secondary airbag light constantly on near the gear shifter). this is a safety issue and concern. this particular year of the nissan rogue was not part of a recall (2008 and 2010 were included in a recall for the exact same issue). as a result, in order for the airbag system to work and to remain safe in the car when driving, it requires a new passenger seat cushion. this repair costs greater than $2000 (part and labor).
Passenger air bag warning light is on constantly, gainesville nissan (fl) charged over $100 to tell me the seat sensor is bad and $2,500 to fix it. 2008 and 2010 rogues are covered by recall, but not 2009. will never buy nissan again! safety issue, they don't care if customers die.
Takata recall air bag light is on for the passanger side and it wont turn off. the dealership wants to charge $2000. this should be a recall from the looks of it many of these vehicles are having the same issue. i feel unsafe driving my vehicle at this time.
Takata recall upon start up of the vehicle, the airbag sensor light is now flashing on the drivers instrument panel and will not shut off. dealer has informed me it will cost approximately $2000.00 for the repair. vehicle is now rendered unsafe with disabled airbags.
Passenger air bag warning lamp on drivers dash lit and is on while driving and will come back on with restart too. can not clear. happens when driving and stopped. it is not clock spring trouble it is a known problem recalled on all rogues receipt 2009.
The air bag light comes on . vehicle was service at balise nissan dealership to try to figure out what the problem was and see if they can fix it . all they did was reset the light and once we drove off dealership parking lot the light came back on like 10 min after .
My 2009 nissan rogue is pulling a code for the occupancy-classification sensor fail. this is the same fail that has been recalled on several nissan models. the fix, i'm told is a new seat. this is obviously excessive and not reasonable given the history of nissan and the ocs sensor failures on their vehicles.
Vehicle stationary..started the vehicle airbag light flashing..passenger airbag status light show off even when some is sitting in the seat. vehicle taken to dealership where tech report passenger airbag senor not working...dealership repair $3100...
