Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan pathfinder. while driving at unknown speeds, the sun visor detached from the unit. there were no warning indicators illuminated. the vehicle was taken to mossy nissan (8118 clairemont mesa blvd, san diego, ca 92111,(858) 565-4411) where it was diagnosed that the springs needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure mileage was 75,000. the vin was unknown.

Both visors are drooping. i don't mess with the visors and it is a pain in the butt when driving and have the visors coming down in front of my eyes. i am beginning to think this is a safety hazard. *tr

The sun visor on the driver side constantly hangs down an obstructs my view to see. i had to remove the sun visor completely to be able to see. so now i am driving with the sun in my face because nissan built a faulty sun visor. now i have the passenger side sun visor doing the same thing. i have had passengers who have hit their head on the sun visor. i have read similar complaints on other sites and have spoken to other pathfinder owners who have the same issue. this is the second time i make a complaint about this and have not seen any action to fix this. i hope you do not view this as a minor issue and wait until someone is seriously injured or worse from nissans faulty design. if that does happen, i will be the first to take the copies i have of my complaints to the media. i hope that my complaint is taken seriously and that you resolve this issue. thank you. *tr

On june 9, 2014, at approximately 9:15 am while driving down crain hwy on route 5 with my sunroof retracted. without warning i heard this loud explosion. i thought that i had blown a tire or someone shot at me. i kept driving for about a half a mile until i got to a traffic light. while waiting for the light to turn green, i looked up and i saw that there was noise coming from my 2013 nissan pathfinder platinum sunroof. i closed the sunroof slide because i didn't want any glass to fall on me or into my vehicle. once i arrived at church, i pulled my sunroof forward to see what was going on. the sunroof exploded outward and all the glass landed inside the headliner because my sunroof was retracted, there weren't any cars in front of me for a rock or some other hard object to hit the sunroof, and there wasn't an overpass for something to fall down from up top. on june 11th, i brought my suv into tischer nissan service manager so they could see my vehicle and repair the damaged sunroof. my vehicle has 23,300 miles on it. i showed him stacks of complaints about this sunroof defect and safety issue. i was told that nissan regional manager decided that nissan wasn't going to pay for my damaged sunroof. the justification was maybe a semi truck may have kicked a rock inside the sunroof and over a period of time, the rock put pressure on the pressure point of the glass which caused the glass to explode. he told me to contact my insurance company. quite frankly that is an insult to my intelligence. on june 11th, i contacted nissan consumer affairs. i was given a case#. on june 17th, i was informed that my sunroof damage would not be covered under warranty because there are no known defects, something hard must have it, it is temper glass, and to contact my insurance. *tr

Driving the vehicle approximately 20 - 25 mph, and heard the rear driver's side window slowly cracking, and then by the time we got home, likely due to the heavy wind, it was completely shattered. i've never had a window shatter for no reason whatsoever. in the past i've noticed the window a little slow to go up or down, but had no idea it would result in this. my daughter was sitting in the seat, but thankfully she moved immediately as the cracking began. *tr

Bought this vehicle few months ago and the power window is not working *js

Windshield cracked. 09/21/2013 windshield cracked again. 01/04/2014 windshield cracked again. 05/28/2014 windshield cracked again. seems to be cheap material used to make the front windshield as it is cracking so easily. i have never had this kind of trouble with a vehicle. *tr

Vehicle first shuttered or vibrated during deceleration coming to stop. vehicle shifts rough at low speeds and low rpms. the vehicle has 1800 miles on it now, and has now done this at least twenty times. i absolutely love everything about this vehicle, except this shifting problem. i am most concerned about it getting worse and developing into something far worse. i plan on taking it to the dealer next week. i already had to take it back the day after i bought it for a faulty windshield wiper fluid sensor. *tr
