Tl* the contact owns a 2008 nissan pathfinder. the contact noticed that the spare tire located on the rear liftgate was detached from the vehicle. after inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the retaining clip was fractured on the tire carrier due to a small crack. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostics where the technician stated that the retaining clip would need to be replaced. the contact obtained the retaining clip and replaced the part himself. the approximate failure mileage was 66,000.
