Tl* the contact owns a 2006 nissan pathfinder equipped with michelin latitude tour tires, size: p265/65r17. the contact stated that the tread on all four tires separated and were cracking. the contact also mentioned that all the tires lost air pressure continuously. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vehicle and tire failure mileage was 92,000. the vin was not available.

Service engine soon light popped on. read owners manual. advised to open and re-close gas cap. did that. light did not go out. december 10, gas gauge indicated empty. dte light appeared ------. filled up. gas gauge didn't move. then, december 12, 2008 gas gauge suddenly rose to a little over half tank. dte odometer display shows 78 miles to empty with over half tank. looked up problem online. hundreds of people with same problem in pathfinders and x-terras. no warranty coverage. i have extended warranty. my 2006 pathfinder has 71k on it. nissan says $600 to repair. seems like this is a product/manufacturing defect. *tr

Tire failure. this is the second tire failure on this vehicle and it has less than 7,000 miles. the tire shows cracks throughout the tire not just on the spot of failure. the other tire had the same visible cracks but the tire retailer claimed that tire failed due to road hazard. the vehicle is a 2006 nissan pathfinder 4x4. the tires in question are bf goodrich radial longtrail t/a, p265/70 r16 111t m+s. *jb
