Rear passenger door is permanently stuck shut. cannot open the door from the inside or outside, or override the malfunction. power door locks and manual pressure will not open the door. the rear passenger seating is now very unsafe and i will not take and passengers in the back. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2005 nissan pathfinder. the contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer for an engine flush when he was informed that the rear heating pipes were leaking abnormally. the dealer informed the contact that the pipes would need to be replaced. the contact called the manufacturer regarding the repair of the vehicle and they advised the contact that they were unable to assist. the contact stated the pipes were leaking due to the design of the frame and could cause a crash by leaking fluids onto the road. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 71,000.
Rear hatch hydraulics not staying up all the way. have not been working well for some time and now the cold weather is causing them to not hold open rear hatch at all. have not looked into having parts replaced yet. *tr
I have changed 2 cepairatlotay coverter at 8600 then 6 mos later my tarmissions need to be radiator was replaced
Courtesy copy of a letter from consumers written to nissan north america re problems with their 2005 nissan pathfinder. *nj the consumer stated the vehicle was defective. there were numerous problems with the vehicle. the radiator was replaced, the transmission had a whistle up shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, the tires were feathered and an alignment was needed, the door panels creaked, the brakes made a clicking noise, the drive belts were replaced twice because of a noise the consumer heard, the plastic finisher on the running boards kept popping off, the strut on the rear hatch leaked due to a poor seal, the transfer case leaked, there was hesitation when accelerating from a stop, the 4-wheel drive light illuminated on the dashboard, the dealer stated it failed due to internal failure. the rear shocks leaked, the front pinion seal and oil pinion seal were replaced and the rear hatch window leaked. *jb updated 04/06/10.*jb
Tl*the contact owns a 2005 nissan pathfinder. the contact stated that the rear liftgate was rusted. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership where the contact was informed that the vehicle needed to be repaired and they could install a plate on the liftgate to protect the door. the current and failure mileages were approximately 50,000.
The driver's side window becomes loose. i rattles hard when i shut the door. if i roll it down halfway and grab the top, i can shift it back and forth about an inch in either direction. 1st incident was at 19k miles about 2 years ago. nissan replaced the part. it happened again at 33k miles. nissan replaced the part. it happened a 3rd time at 45k miles. nissan says it's out of warranty and refuses to replace. *tr

My 2005 nissan pathfinder, that i got after nissan did a buy back to my 2004 nissan quest (with a lot of problems),has a rattle sound coming from the two front windows when they are open. they sound like they are loose inside the door. i went to the dealer and they told me there is nothing that they can do. they reported the problem to nissan. until now i am waiting for the solution. *jb
My 2005 nissan pathfinder le has a loud squeak/vibration coming from the underbody ever since it was purchased. eight visits to dealer sterling mccall and they have not been able to confirm the cause. *jb
While driving below 25 mph, the consumer heard a loud knocking noise coming from the front of the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection twice. the mechanic was not able to duplicate the problem. a week later while driving approximately 25-30 mph, the consumer heard the same loud knocking noise coming from the front of the vehicle. suddenly the right front wheel came off causing the consumer to have difficulty maintaining control of the vehicle. the consumer managed to pull over. the vehicle was towed to the dealer for inspection. the cause has not been determined at this time. please provide further details. *jb the consumer stated that a since the first day an intermittent noise like a scrapping noise was heard when the vehicle was driven at idle speed. the noise disappeared by applying gentle pressure to the brake and would reappear aain when releasing the brake. after 500 miles the problem still existed. the consumer stated that the invoice labeled the problem as a baffle plate rubbing against the rotor. the consumer stated that he still has temporary tags on his vehicle because the dealership lost the original paperwork. when the vehicle tire came off 4 of the 6 wheel mounting studs were missing and the two that were present were loose. the brake drum was moving and the fender was dented. *tc
