When traveling at highway speeds with the cruise control set, the intelligent cruise control malfunctions along with the predictive forward braking causing sudden deceleration. this has almost gotten me into several rear end collisions at highways speeds that could have caused major wrecks.

The abs light comes on while driving and car stalls or immediately shuts down. i took the vehicle to nissan and a diagnostic test was done. they said i needed to have my crank shaft positioning sensor changed; i paid and had it replaced and still i am experiencing the same problem. i took the vehicle back to kings nissan at coney island brooklyn 2 weeks ago and it's still there and they can't figure out what's going on. now i am being told they'll have to take the car apart to figure what's the problem and that'll cost me about a thousand dollars for labor, not inclusive of any parts that may need to be replaced. my problem here is that nissan cannot determine the issue and is having me pay for parts while they change parts by assuming what they issue might be, since they are unable to determine the real issue. my biggest regret is purchasing a nissan vehicle. the vehicle is barely 30,000 miles and it's costing me time and money.

My barely 3 year old vehicle recently began displaying a warning that the anti collusion system was not functional and i noticed this also disabled and disengaged the cruise control resulting in sudden deceleration .this problem seems to reset when car is started and reoccurs after 15 or 20 minutes driving . i took the car to a nissan dealership service dept both reps at the desk told me the problem was a recall on the less expensive more common rogue model but not on the murano which used the very same components and also told me it was very expensive to fix .i searched on line and on numerous sites found it was a very common serious defect with a bosch supplied sensor on the radar . why are they fixing one model but not the same defect on the murano .this is a driving safety feature i considered essential to my purchase and when suddenly fails disengaging cruise control presents a very dangerous situation . the manufacturer is well aware of the issue and insists i pay to diagnosis and at this point pay a very large repair bill to repair ,,,,unacceptable !

My vehicle recently began displaying a warning that the anti-collision system is not functional and i noticed this also disabled and disengaged the cruise control resulting in sudden deceleration . this problem seems to reset when car is started and reoccurs after 10 to 15 minutes driving. i took the car to a nissan dealership service dept, and paid for a diagnostic test to source issue. the nissan service rep told me this was a known issue but i would need to pay out of pocket to fix. i searched on line and on numerous sites found it was a very common and serious defect with a bosch supplied sensor on the radar . this is a driving safety feature i consider essential to my purchase and when suddenly fails disengaging cruise control presents a very dangerous situation to myself and others on the road. nissan is well aware of the issues and insists i pay a very large repair bill to repair.

Purchased the murano 5/15/2018. almost immediately noticed a problem with braking/acceleration. the problem occurs when i start to apply my brakes to slow down the engine seems to rev up causing the vehicle to accelerate forward. this requires a need for me to slam on the brakes in order to get the vehicle to stop and get it back under control. the strange thing is that this occurs only about 1/3 of the time. however i feel this creates a major safety hazard to me and others around me on the highway. i have taken the vehicle to my local nissan dealer on on 2 occasions to have them check this out. unfortunately they say nothing is wrong but the mechanic says he knows what i am talking about because he has experienced it before with other vehicles. he also says there are no recalls for that issue.

Vehicle hestiates - it jerks and shudders when accelerating normaly around 20 mph, and also around 40 mph. it feels like the transmission isn't shifting properly and causing abnormal vibration and instability while trying to accelerate normaly. the vehicle is in motion on city streets and urban highways when this happens. this has happened several times over the last couple of months - and as recently on sunday august 27, 2017.

At 20k miles in our 2015 nissan murano, we experienced the car chugging at speeds under 15mph, turning a corner, accelerating from a stop. the chugging was followed by engine revving. this was followed 2 days later by complete failure while driving at highway speeds. the car would not accelerate at all. it had to be towed to the dealership. the service engine light came on after the engine failed. nissan cannot determine a cause and is replacing the transmission

The interactive cruise control has panic-braked at highway speeds based on vehicle activity in the lane right or left of me when my lane was clear far ahead. i have almost been rear-ended three times and twice the panic-braking has sparked incidents of road rage against me as the following driver thought i was trying to get rear-ended. there is no way to use cruise control without the interactive feature. you can only set the follow distance at 200', 100' or 50'. i have asked the dealer to deactivate the interactive feature but they can't.

Car hesitates when accelerating causing a danger when car does not go as expected when pulling into traffic. it also jerks and shudders at lower speeds, the car shakes somewhat violently and will stop if you floor the gas pedal. bought the car brand new from dealer and have brought in for the issue to be told the computer doesn't see a problem. i drive the car daily i know there is an issue and it is dangerous to drive when it chooses not to go when accelerating. it has been a problem since i bought the car and have complained to the dealership numerous times.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 nissan murano. while the cruise control was activated, the contact increased the speed using the cruise control speed gauge; however, due to the vehicle's forward collision avoidance system, it failed to function. once the forward collision avoidance system was disengaged, the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was performing as designed. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vin was unknown. the failure mileage was approximately 60.

When overriding the cruise set speed, passing a car the transmission frequently slips and jerks while the vehicle loses speed and the engine rpm increases tremendously, later the transmission reengages violently. dealer has replaced the transmission with same results. the dealer was informed by the factory rep. that it was a computer problem with the intelligent cruise control and could not be corrected. factory rep. has not returned my many phone calls to let me know what they intend to do about the problem.
