Recently reported FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM problems on 2006 Nissan Murano

Car is sluggish at take off and makes a horrible rattling noise once i've accelerated at 20 miles and more. very loud

Takara recall fuel guage doesn't work. it is stuck on half tank

Seat support is broken on the drivers side causing the driver my son, to shift to the left while driving the car. a dealer sold this used car as is and covered a wooden block that supported the seat with cloth to disguise the problem. after looking at this site i found over 700 complaints. the seat is compromised and it's a manufacturers safety defect. if an accident were to occur the driver could be thrown into the dash or worst because of a already broken driver seat support. why should consumers not be made aware of this safety concern and the manufacture required to do a proper fix? is the seat belt designed to hold the passenger and the seat in place during an accident?

Takata recall i am not sure why my vin is not recall as yet. the car accelerates on occasion. i replave all coils now every 2 months because thats how long they are lasting nissan weston florida has not been able to figure out why the car keeps burning coils out. this feels so dangerous to me on the hoghway i do not know if it is the transmission or computer its very scary

Apparently nissan is known for problems with their fuel level sensors, but not specifically for muranos' well maybe it should be, even after i bought the new parts and had them installed with a mechanic, they still do not work or function properly.when i fill up the tank the level sensor doesn't go past a quarter of a tank now, it drops rapidly and i have even now ran out of gas when it says it has gas in there or miles till empty. this is a known problem, maybe it should be fixed.

I purchased a vehicle from a dealership located at 4985 memorial drive stone mountain ga. 30083 and i was told the vehicle needed two front rotors, passenger side axle, and brakes so i drove to auto zone to purchase the parts so the dealership could fix the problem once i arrived back at the shop and got on the highway i noticed the car started shaking, losing control of the wheel because he didn't fix the axle, smoking, smelling like something was burning and like gas so i called the dealership and told them what i was experiencing and was told to take it to a shop once i took it to a shop i was told the car was no good and i needed to take it back to the dealership once i took it there i was told i couldn't get my money back and i didn't have the car longer then 24hrs not even longer then 6 hours and i really feel like i been played out my money and want it back and i need help on actions to take about the situation because i don't have my money and i returned the car

Engine problem. oil kept leaking on other part and make them go bad. car was taken to different location, all said the same things.

Vehicle fuel sensor gone bad. shows as check engine and fuel level is either empty or empty.

The fuel lever guage is inconsistent and way off. i put a half tank in and it reads empty.

P0463 code needs a recall

I was traveling on the highway and hit a sharp object. that sharp object punctured my gas tank and the tank began to leak. i called nissan usa regarding recall number 35779. nissan said that the tank had been replaced. however, sears told me that the murano was still using a nissan tank and should be covered by the recall. i have the part number on the work order from sears. nissan denied my request. nissan claim number is [xxx]. approximately june 10, 2014. i would like your help in seeking reimbursement from nissan since i had to pay for the replacement tank and labor. my local nissan dealer in bowie md also denied my request. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 nissan murano. the contact stated the vehicle stalled intermittently without warning. the vehicle was taken to the dealer. the dealer replaced an unknown component. the failure recurred shortly after the repair. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer who stated the fuel pump needed to be replaced. the failure recurred. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 65,000.

Faulty fuel gauge, fuel float or fuel monitoring system. i filled up the car and the gauge reads empty. it will erratically show different fuel levels ranging anywhere from empty to half-full to full. this is a safety issue because it is impossible to know how much fuel is left. after doing a brief internet search i discovered that their are multiple entries for this issue from other nissan owners. *tr

My 2006 nissan murano was purchased used march 2013. since then, i have put over $4,000 worth of repairs into it and i am still having problems. the latest issue is the car having no power when pushing on the accelerator and it will surge when you finally get it to go. i've replaced fuel filter, catalytic converters, transfer case just to name a few of the repairs. i am in the repair shop at least 2x/month! now i read where there are many others having the same problem and nissan ignoring the complaints! i now have a car i am making a huge car payment on that i cannot drive! plus i do not have the money to replace the transmission! i work in hospice and i drive to see patients every day and now i have no vehicle!!!! so it is now affecting not only my personal life but my work environment!!!! *js

After coming to a complete stop, vehicle will intermittently not accelerate when stepping on the gas. period/duration of non-acceleration is not predictable, nor can you depend on being able to get out of the way of an oncoming vehicle should you be in the process of making a left-hand turn. this is a severe safety hazard. *tr

Vehicle has problems with accelation between 40mph and over. was told it that the cvt tranmission was bad and had transmission replace and now just after picking up vehicle and driving home, vehicle is still having the same problem. *tr

The fuel pumps shuts of when the car is running causing the car to shut off my mother drives this car and i got it with 20,000 miles and so far i had to replace the hi power steering line 250.00 the sun visors 400.00 at nissan and know the fuel pump i haven't even got the price on this yet but i feel that nissan are selling crap for cars i have 2 nissan also a 2007 altima got brand new and that at 300 miles i started having issue and nissan still has not fixed any issue that stated they don't find any issues i think nissan should be paying for this repair as it is a known issue and it can cause a person to shut off wile driving and cause a crash. *tr

Complained to nissan dealer and was told nothing wrong. complained at a later date and was told complaints have been made but no recall and if i wanted to pay for a complete gas system i could which would cost approx. $1000.00. when i get gas i have to get it when i am going home so i can shower due to gas spraying on me while pumping gas. almost every time i pump gas it stops like it is full and gas spews back. constantly have to move gas hose around and the gas nozzle to try to get gas. i have to have an extra set of clothes in my car because the gas smell makes me sick. one time i was sick all day vomiting because of this. this is dangerous and should be a recall.
