Problems with 2006 Nissan Murano EQUIPMENT

My sun visor keeps falling down while i'm driving. it interfere my driving ability. *tr

Solar visor not secure. has fallen repeatedly during normal driving. presents major safety hazard as view of road will be impaired when visor fails to remain in up position.

2006 nissan murano. drivers side sunvisor will not stay in the "up" position. visor is very stiff trying to push up, and continually stays in the "down" position. *tr

2006 nissan murano seat falls down and brackets break while driving down the road. i had my nissan murano power set fail while driving down the road the bottom section that is connected to the seat rail failed and caused me to go out of control when the seat leaned backwards i jerked on the steering wheel. very very big problem and i almost ended up in the oncoming traffic. *tr

My 06 murano sl began to lose pressure on the gas pedal and stall. at first it felt like someone had bumped into me, but after noticing that the car behind me had not. i tried to move on with the traffic. i put on my hazards and came to a complete stop but was not able to accelerate by using the gas pedal. then my vehicle began to drive on its own lucky for me the traffic in front of me began to move. the vehicle came to a complete stop in the middle of the highway while i tried to move over to the emergency lane. i place the vehicle in park and then in drive. when i pressed on the gas pedal it would not move once again even when pressing the pedal to the floor. i tried to move the vehicle while in the lower gear and second gear just to get out the middle of the highway and it still would not move. then out of know where it began to drive on its own again without me pressing on the gas pedal. that allowed me to make it over to the emergency lane. again lucky for me i was able to make my way through the stand still traffic. once in the emergency lane the vehicle stopped. i put it in park then pressed on the gas pedal and the engine would rev up. then i thought ok it will move now, but then the vehicle began to drive itself in reverse while in the drive position. i called my motor club and had to have the vehicle towed to the dealership. the technician stated that two of my transmission hoses blew and the vehicle lost all its fluid and it would cost me $711 to fix this problem not including any damage to the transmission. now the dealership is trying to say that i have a leak at my engine rubber o ring. at the time of the incident my vehicle has 82k miles. although i have quite a few miles on my vehicle i have maintained all of my required maintenance as scheduled. something should be done about the vehicle stalling and driving on its own. i had no warning. ...

I own a 2006 nissan murano and in the fall of 2009, started experiencing an issue with my sunvisor. i understand that this issue is not just mine, but many other owners have the same problem. while driving, the sunvisor randomly falls down, sometimes hitting me (or my family) in the head. it is clearly a safety issue. it always occurs on rough road surfaces but also happens on smooth highways, and at random times, often startling me or whoever is driving my car. we have purchased & replaced the clips that holds the visor but that is not the problem. the visor just does not lock in the "up" position. we have also spoken to the dealer and they said it is not under warranty and is a $350-400 replacement part. other owners have indicated they will not cover is under their "goodwill program" either.

Evidently a rock was able to penetrate my condenser due to the wide open gaps in the front of the vehicle. my a/c is no longer providing cold air in my 2 month old 2006 nissan murano. cost of the repair $717.98 and no known prevention of this recurring multiple times. per the lake nissan sales manager is well aware of this recurring problem. *jb

Purchased 05 nissan murano in feb 06 new 03/06 800mg car not turn on thought it is was use radio when car ignition off. susp prob feel bumps axel boot leaks, continuous. nissan san leandro ca dealership said a rock must have hit it. thermo went out 2013. paid new thermo. left the dealership still overheat. returned told stuck gasket on new thermo? under warrant 10yr why not covered? 2011 while drivin no warning car decelerated power went off@ 35. nissan didn't alert me to alternator recall i paid 4 new alternator. why wasn't warranty covered? im ask 4 reimbursement for 650. nissan told me my vin isn't on recall bulletin. put claim into nissan consumer aff not reimburse me. claim in auto bureau [xxx] rep not reimburse me. now steer pwr hos broke rack. rear tires wear diff? nissan said due 2 front whl dr? my oil drk now. nissan says good will gesture they're replacing lower arm bushing crack @ their expense, aren't they sweet this car drives like [xxx] this car only10 yrs old 82k miles and lots of problems, my mechanic said the trans will go out early in this car. why is nhtsa and atty general allowing japan parts mfr t2 not b sued over these shitty plastic faulty parts on nissan muranos? why nissan still designing & sellin these lemon cars? i cant sell this car my conscious i have 2 b honest its a pos i will never buy nissan again. i would like to see these muranos totally recalled. see internet complaints susp prob fuel prob axel probs, generally runs like crap, not a reliable car a lot money has been put into this car still keeps havin expense prob nhtsa needs 2 notify public this suv nissan murano 2003 & up is a money pit garbage . cd player broke 1st yr warranty covered. driver seat broke leans 2 left ripped seat, visor doesn't stay up. would like 2 c atty general 2 address probs complaints stop allow make these suv nissan muranos. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. ...
