Problems with 2005 Nissan Murano SUSPENSION

Car has a broken suspension and stabilization bar, car in previous accident not disclosed to buyer. car should not be on road as it is very unsafe tires are spreading in a triangular dimension due to previous damage.

Recall on engine resonator iss and airduct intake. engine stalling on highway. engine shakes sometimes

While driving my car the rear passenger subframe busted, caused my car to pull left and right until i could get off to the side of the road safely. i was on a highway traveling about 60mph when this happened. i have contacted nissan about the subframe problem and they had me take it to a local dealer to be evaluated. upon evaluation the total cost of having my rear subframe repaired is $5,022.37 invoice number on this quote is q7812. nissan has a warranty extension on the 2002-2005 altima subframe, for 13 years and unlimited miles. campaign p5216 and service bulletin ntb05-114b. where my concern is, that my murano has the same subframe as the altima but nissan refuses to repair my vehicle. my vehicle had the exact same issue as the altima and could have killed or severely injured me while i was on that highway. *tr

Found rear sub frame is rotted to a point that renders the vehicle unsafe to drive. dealer quote to replace rear sub frame and control arms and mounts is approximately $4000. dealer requires full "customer pay" despite this rotting problem being a repair "campaign" on other nissan models with same issue. *tr

I am the original owner of 2005 murano. i noticed a problem with hydroplaning soon after purchase, and have always been extremely careful and on guard when driving in rain or even when streets are wet. this would happen with brand new tires and tires that were slightly worn so the tires don't seem to be the problem, unless its the type of tire but its not the tread on the tire. the car came with goodyear eagle p235/65 r18 tires and i have replaced with same tires when nissan service department advised of tread wear. on july 22, 2013 i was on my way home from gatlinburg with daughter and 2 year old granddaughter in car. we were caught in downpour going through knoxville. i truly cannot believe we are alive. my car would continually lose traction and it would slide to one side until it would grab traction before going off the road or wrecking. something is terribly wrong with the murano in regards to hydroplaning. i also have had the problem with the driver's side visor coming down and will not stay up since a couple years after i bought the car. i love everything else about my murano and due to hydroplaning safety issue i will not be purchasing another one. please take this issue up with nissan before people are killed. i cannot afford to replace my murano at this time so if there is anything that can be done please, please help me take care of this issue. this is definitely a manufacturer problem. there is no doubt people have been killed because of this problem but was not proven because didn't live to tell what happened. what can i do at this point to prevent becoming a statistic and more importantly ensure the safety of my precious cargo? i feel lucky to be alive. *tr

I've been having problems with this car every month since i bought it in 2011 from arrow motors inc, 2225 wakeling st phila pa 19137. the never disclose to me of the issues. if they ran a car fax i would have know. it wasn't until recently when i attempted to sell the car and was informed through car fax that it was in 5 accidents. if i had known this i would have never bought the car. this is completely unjust. *tr

All of my locks no longer work. i have seen countless complaints about this very issue and nothing is getting done about it. i thought nissan was suppose to be one of the best out there. i'll never buy another nissan again if they continue not to assist their customers. i also have the air intake issue, thankfully that was recalled and will be fixed. i had to replace the front struts, oil cooler gasket, front sway bar links and the battery has been changed 3 times now. very disappointed with nissan and so embarrassed to even talk about the issues with this car. :( *tr

I am the original owner of a 2005 nissan murano. it has 63500 miles on it and i have been told that both lower control arms are about to fail by my local nissan dealer. this is a dangerous situation, as these should not be failing with this amount of miles on the vehicle. nissan refuses to help me with these repairs. *tr

I too own a 2005 nissan murano. although my car has more mileage than the earlier entry, i was also told that the lower control arms are defective in these cars. other service providers have also informed me that they have repaired many nissan murano with the same problem. there should be a recall. the problem is that people are not made aware that they need to report these issues so they just spend hundreds on repairs. this should be recalled. i am sure nissan has an inventory of how many they have repaired and charged customers hundreds of dollars. this is a safety matter as this is part of the suspension. *tr

Dt: contacts stated when hitting a bump in the highway the rear of the vehicle will go to the right. the steering wheel itself is 15 degrees to the right. the vehicles rear wheel on driver's side will point toward the passenger's side of the vehicle. this problem occurs when the roads conditions are with snow or ice. there is no prior warning. there is a noise when applying the front brakes. he contacted the dealer. however, they offered no free remedy. *ak
