Tire will not hold air

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 nissan cube. the contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph, she noticed that the tpms warning light had illuminated. after inspecting the vehicle, she noticed that both front tires were deflating faster than normal. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and they informed her that the steel around the valve stem had corroded and caused air to leak out of the tires faster than normal. the vehicle had not been repaired. the manufacturer was notified and they informed her that the vehicle was not included in the recall associated with nhtsa campaign id number 09v393000 (tires:pressure monitoring and regulating systems). the failure mileage was approximately 34,800.

The tire pressure light sensor remains lit. the pressure on the tires are correct and there is not loss of pressure, however the sensor light does not turn off. there has already been a recall on other cubes for this matter. *tr
