The vdc off light, slip light and brakes pop up on the dash. the car begins to make a springy sound maybe from the brakes. the car has to slow down and it stops for a minute but it continuously does it while i'm driving. it happens with no discrimination as to where you are (city, highway,etc...) .
Left front wheel, tire, disk brake assembly, plus caliper and brake disk detached from vehicle while truck was traveling approx 60 mph on rte 8 in conn. truck spun into the median guard rail and i had to struggle to get it stopped. inspection of the left front wheel well revealed that the tie road to that wheel assembly had completely severed itself--as if you were slicing into a cake with a knife. . we could have easily been both killed. i want you to research whether there were any recalls for this 2004 armada of which i was never notified. please respond to [xxx] thank you. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
We have a 2004 nissan pathfinder armada with under 74,000 miles on the odometer. the vehicle looks like it is in very good shape until it is put on a lift. the major control arms of the vehicle are severely rusted while other steel in close proximity is not. we found a recall for 1996-2004 nissan pathfinders for this same issue: 'campaign id #: r1107 'nhtsa #:11v-244 'applied vehicles:1996-2004 pathfinder (r50) nissan north american told us that this recall does not apply to our vehicle. we believe that the components used on our vehicle were probably produced by the same manufacturer as the recalled components and therefore have the same issues. the nissan representative that we spoke with would neither confirm nor deny this. ( mariana 615-725-5879) she could only confirm that the recall did not apply to our nissan.

I have had an issue with brakes and lights coming on that says vdo ,antilock etc: when driving the suv at lower speeds and you try to apply the brakes the whole front end starts shaking and grinding and it is impossible to stop. i have replaced brakes, rotors , wheel hub bearings and still have this problem. it is scary when you can't stop a 7,000lb vehicle! i am in fear of an accident . i have read of others having the same problem. sometimes when running hyw speeds a lot of lights come on and dingers and this has been happening since i bought the armada. i want to know what nissan is gonna do about this problem cause it seems i am not the only one having these issues. i have already had to replace the right rear hub assembly 2 times and they are not cheap. i feel nissan does not want admit they have a problem. i think this needs to be a recall . since i have had this vehicle i have not received anything from nissan to address these issues. i pray they will recognize and see to it that these things are fixed and help us the consumer feel safe driving down the highway. i have 3 young children who ride in this armada. please help !!

Purchased in 11/2003, and it was in the shop for creaking in the uni-body, and a harmonic hum when the defrost was on, along with having visors replaced. then within a short period after that the truck reached 3000 miles and with every 3000 miles the breaks begin to pulsate and cause the steering wheel to shake making driving difficult. the first time it was brought in to the dealers for this the rotors were turned and the brake pads replaced. on the next visit, the dealership put on a so called repair kit, which was replacing the rotors and changing the pads with aftermarket pads. and then when it came to the third time...i was told that they would do a quick fix and supposedly a replacement kit was in the works. after bringing my vehicle down for routine maintenance, and the quick fix i was told by the dealership that nissan said, not to do the quick fix, since the replacement kit is available for ordering soon. i had to explain to the dealership that the pulsating was so bad that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. after a vivid discussion with the service manager the vehicle was given the quick fix. we are still waiting for the replacement kit. the quick fix was done in may 2005. and no word has come yet regarding this so called "replacement kit".
