Problems with 2014 Nissan Altima STRUCTURE

Air bag light comes on and stays on when car is turned on. my daughter says the hood of the car is vibrating when driving!

Was driving at about 35 mph on a paved road and hood unlatched and flew up to windshield. currently vehicle is in a repair shop .

The sun visor on the driver side has malfunctioned. it does not stay in its normal upright position. it hangs about a quarter of the way down and moves around during turns, making it even more of a safety hazard than it already was because in an accident or a hard braking situation, the driver is going to hit their head on it.

I was driving my 2014 nissan altima with my 2 year old in the car on the highway when my sunroof shattered, sounding like a gun shot. i had the sunroof replaced shortly after purchasing my car in 2014 for leaks. i haven't had any problems since until today (9/5/18). we were traveling on us 75n near collins road at the time of the incident. i'm not aware of anything that would have caused this random occurrence.

When attempting to open front driver door the handler did not allow me to open the door to get out. i left work drove myself home, put the car in park turn off the engine reach to open the door the handler was loose and nothing happening, i could not get out, so i use my cell phone and call my husband who was inside the home to come and open the door from the outside so that i could get out..

Hood latch is hard lock. airbag light stays on.

Hood won't stay latched

The inside door handles seem to brake very easily because they are made of plastic that holds the cable in place. i've been on line and there are many complaints on this happening. it is a safety if you can't get out of your car without rolling down your window.what if you were to get in a car accident and could not get out of your car. i have less then 18000 miles on my car i got the car bran new. this probably needs to be fixed. thanks [xxx] . information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

While driving home last night approx 35 mph my hood flew open and unlatched and impaired my windshield significantly and visibility driving was extremely impacted. as it was late in the evening there was no traffic directly in front or behind me. i was startled to say the least. i was able to safely negotiate to shoulder of road and engage hazard lights and resecure the hood. i was on a city street and moving straight and not turning the vehicle. i would hate to think a far worse outcome in heavy interstate traffic at a higher speed.

Takata recall while stopped on a busy street waiting to make a left hand turn, i was rear-ended by a large suv. my airbag did not deploy and i suffered severe pain to my head, neck, shoulders and back. my altima was later declared a total loss as a result of the accident.

Hood released while traveling on the highway causing serious damage to the vehicle and causing the vehicle to leave the roadway.

Hood released and blew back into the windshield at 30 mph.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 nissan altima. the contact stated that the engine undercover separated while driving 70 mph. the contact heard a noise under the vehicle prior to the failure. the vehicle was taken to an authorized mechanic who stated that the bolts used to secure the engine cover were made of defective plastic, which failed to secure the cover. the manufacturer was not notified. the engine undercover was not replaced. the vin was not available. the failure mileage was 50,000.

When i received my recall notice, nhtsa recall 16v-029, i scheduled an appointment at my nissan dealership, suntrup nissan, to have my car repaired. at the appointment, suntrup nissan told me they did not have the part to fix it, and would call me when it was available. well, it has been quite a while, and they have never called me. then, i emailed the service manager, and he never responded. i do not know what else to do.

I had a recall notice. i believe i got charged for the hood latch replacement, when the recall notice stated it would be a free repair.

Driving 2014 nissan altima in town going about 35 mph when suddenly we hear a loud bang and everything goes black. the hood had flown open while driving. husband was able to look at the very bottom through windshield to pull over safely. however, once he pulled over to close the hood, there was a lot of damage to the hood. i don't feel safe driving it right now since this happened.

Takata recall- my 18 year old daughter was in a severe car wreck with side impact and rollover x 3. she had an injury to the left side of her face where the side impact airbags nor the curtain airbags came out . i have been working with nissan consumers affairs since aug 9, 2015 with a [xxx] but so far the issue is still in process . my daughter had a ct scan because of the swelling of her left face and the physician asked did the airbags come out to protect the side of her face and i said no and he stated to file a complaint with nissan and to get a lawyer . i bought the car brand new from action nissan in nashville tn . she was ran off the road and hit a side pole and flipped over 2 or more times according to a witness . picture will be attached . all 4 kids survived . thank you jesus!!! information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr..updated 12/22/15....updated 12/30/15 *bf; 4/27/18*jb the dealer stated steering wheel will turn but wheels wont move. *tr

Car was going 34mph at the point of impact, no airbags deployed...this was before the recall of the passenger side airbags: however severe damage done to the drivers side of the car as well and no deployment of any airbag. ...updated 07/11/17 *bf *js

Blind spot sensors are going off when raining! we had this checked out by the dealer twice and nothing was done. on second visit i was told this was going to happen during inclimate weather as it is normal. there were several other complaints as well i let him know this was unacceptable. there was no mention of this in the auto manuals nor from the sales staff. i purchased the extra safety features to keep my family safe. these features are needed especially during inclimate weather. we have no confidence in our equipment's safety features as they are misleading. *tr

On wednesday, july 15th 2014 i was leaving my community and there was a section on the way where water accumulates after it rains. during my drive out the community i needed to go through the puddle of water to continue my exit. as i passed through the puddle,the water rushed inside the car, on the driver's side under the steering wheel. it appears that the water rushed into the cabin through the steering column. *tr

On the way to get a cup of coffee (less than one mile from my home) a car started coming into my lane. i swerved slightly to avoid a collision and my car went into the ditch and hit a telephone pole. over $22,000 in damage. radiator bent into an "l" shape. side frames and engine went into the firewall, which totaled the car completely. i have spoken with nissan corp. air bag safety engineer, dealership owner, general manager, sales manager and they will not do anything about this $22,000 damage to the front end and none of the airbags deployed. officer said driver airbag and side curtain and in seat airbags should have also deployed. they didn't and i was almost killed. the car was only 2 months old, no modifications, and very low miles. kiro7 tv in seattle even did two stories on the crash and airbags not working and that nissan had only recalled passenger airbags, not driver side airbags. ..updated 07/16/14 *bf

Rear taillight housings fog up badly, some dealerships didn't recognize problem then one did when i did not go back to dealership right away they sent the parts back! finally another dealership recognized the problem but when they changed them one had a mark inside of the fixture, part missing inside truck and a new scratch mark on the car, also put in incorrectly! this car is turning into a frankenstein car and exactly what and how everything being done to it to devalue this car is happening! factory seals are being broken and not being fixed at all is the outcome! the tail lights fog up more than the last ones! this car is a lemon! *tr
