(in nyc) my mpg has drop significantly, i'm getting 10-13 max mpg. the oil, oil filter and engine air filter are less than a month old. the tires are filled to the correct pressure. no service lights have ever came on, many mechanics have seen the car and said they can't find anything wrong. i do a mixture of highway and city driving and drive averagely (not aggressive but not slow either). i even reset the computer twice so far and get the same results.
The vehicle will not start after warm up/driving for a while and then turned off. it will continuously run if engine does not get turned off. in order to start the engine again, it has to cool down, then the cycle starts again. it only happens when hot. it always starts cold or cooled down. took it to nissan dealer for diag and they said that is was the fuel injectors, so we replaced them on their advice - but that did not solve the problem. this is issue started recently. this is a well kept and maintained 2013 altima with the qr25de 4 cyl engine and only ~ 92,nnn miles.
My call stalled when i was stationary, in drive, at an intersection. since then whenever i shift into either drive or reverse the car stalls and shuts off. the check engine, check battery, and general warning light all come on when i experience this problem. i have seen other people on various online forums report this issue. my nissan altima 2013 has a little over 80,000 miles on it. i am the only owner of this car.

The car shut completely down while driving (in motion). there where no indicators lights to warn us of any problems. we started it up again and it died again after a few seconds. we have no idea what causes the car to completely shut down while driving. we were parked and started the car a proceeded to exit the parking lot when it just stopped working. just completely shut off. unknown reason for the car shutting down. ..*bf. *tr
The transmission was working fine as we were running errands and all of a sudden the car would not go into gear. the car also began to shake and then stall. all this happened in minutes. the car was stuck in the middle of the street creating an unsafe position. we took the car to autozone after it would go into gear again and they pulled a diagnostic code of p0776. the code is transmission related. the car was driven on city streets that night.
I was turning right to park my 2013 nissan altima and i pushed on the brake to slow down the car to stop and the car suddenly accelerated and jumped over the concrete curb stop. it continued to run upslope to the bushes and over three big rocks while i was trying to avoid hitting the fence in the front and braking it. i continued to press on the brake and the car continued to drive forward and i kept turning the wheel to the right to avoid a fence. the car ran over the curb stop of another parking space about five spaces on the right. the bolt in the concrete stop punctured my oil pan and the rocks ribbed off the plastic shields underneath. i was finally able to stop the car by pumping the brake and wind up in the opposite direction. i checked my foot was still on the brake. my car had approximately 43000 miles on the odometer. this happened at the parking lot of bertelson memorial park in el dorado hills in california. we believed that there was a computer failure that caused the acceleration of the car while i was turning right and braking and tried to park. according to one of the expert, an electrical engineer who has studied sudden acceleration in cars for over 20 years, stated that "if you're turning into a parking space, you have a lot of stress on the front drive system, since everything is based on running through the computer, including sensors on your drive systems, any one of those could carry onto the system, carry on to the on-board computer and attack it." we felt very unfair to pay for the repairs for the defective product.
My vehicle stalled as i was going through an intersection. would not start and i coasted to the side and had to get a tow. check engine lite was on. no codes found. car sat for a week and then started right up and drove fine. check engine light turned off. car started stalling again only when i put it into drive or reverse, and as long as i put it into neutral and gave it gas, then threw it into drive i would be able to drive it. still no light on. car drove semi good for a week or so, seemed to run a little rough but didn't stall out. a few days ago it started to not take gas and rev up on its own. i would start to go and the car would accelerate by itself. when i was on highway, or regular roads. usually under 50 miles an hour. tachometer would rev even though car didn't seem to go any faster. then it just stopped taking gas all together. now today it just stopped going. i would give it gas and it wouldn't go anywhere. i shut off and turned on and it would go for a little and then stop. now check engine lite came on and the first code p0776 is for a bulletin that went out and the the other code is for p0965. pictures are attached. i have been afraid to drive the car, worried that i will get into a crash. i googled the problem and saw that a lot of other people are having the similar problems. the mileage is at 77,000. the majority of the other people i read had around the same mileage. is this a problem that nissan should be taking care of?
My 2013 altima started to hesitate and jerk when i was driving. then when i would be stopped and ready to pull out my car will not go and then finally catch and go. it wont go over 30 miles an hr at some points. when i brought it to nissan they did a diagnostic on it and its the cvt transmission that needs to be replaced. i was told my warranty expired 2000 miles ago and its gonna cost me $3500 for a new one. ive only owned my car for 2 yrs. i am so dissatisfied with nissan and they are so unprofessional to not fix this known problem with there cvt issues on all their vehicles.. i have also replaced the inside door handles on both doors..
Taketa recall. my nissa altima, 3.5sv couldn't show correct gasoline usage miles on the car display after gasoline was full filled since this sunday. the usage miles is only going down the car run some distance. nissan dealer don't find any issue by computer program reading today. i am very concern this issue. dealer suggests me to pay the advanced checking fee. this vechicle was in recall.
The car is saying i'm getting 7 mpg and it will not update on the mileage after i put gas in and the car shut down while driving down the road.
I own a nissan altima 2013, and sadly i've more problems with this vehicle than any other i ever owned. the engine stalls when in notion and stationery. sometimes it takes multiple tries to even get it started. the interior door handles on the both the driver and passenger side broke and had to be replaced. the air bag sensors had to be replaced. the hood latch had to be replaced. and the back brakes have been changed three times and it s still has a awful lengthy squeak which is very embarrassing. so say the least this is very disappointing considering i'm still paying over three hundred dollars a month for a car not and still have to come out of pocket for repairs that the extended warranty supposedly does not cover. very disappointed with this purchase. all of these issues have happened over time and i'm still having issues to this day.
Reported to sheehy nissan mechanicsville va foutr times. the vehicle braking system activates while driving at any speed (stability light activates). the brake light stays on when the vehicle is turned off. the accelerator touches the floor while traveling 45-60 mph loss of pressure. i was told to wait for the engine light to activate in order to use the extended warranty gold plan. i was charge $93 for a scan of the computer, then it was purged. the fob system is not recognizing the keys and i was charged for checking and reprogramming keys. fob keys still lose the programs while driving.
I bought my car in april 2016 i've had nothing but issues it chugs all the time on highway/city/county roads, and while turning left and right with cruze set or not. every time i get in my car and try to shift it down from park it don't always shift or if i try shifting up it's like it sticks it has been fixed once already, when the heated seats are on low or high setting if left on longer than 5 minuets it gets burning hot. the steering wheel is also super loose my car has 82,000 miles on it i've had it for a year and a half and i've had so many issues including the air conditioning marquart motors out of chippewa falls wi refuses to return my calls (i bought the car from them they are useless and unhelpful ) i have a extended warranty as well so most repairs are covered thank god but won't be for long. it's very frustrating that i paid 23,000 for a car that has so many issues i really just wish i could give it back so scared to have my children in it and i shouldn't have to feel that way. alsothere are 3 or four recalls and i can't seem to ever get it in for repair because our nissan dealer is always so booked or don't have the parts to fix it till days or weeks later.
I was in a accident where i hyroplanned and the back end hit a ditch and my car went onto the median on the freeway and i totaled my car and the airbags did not deploy
While driving, the vehicle stalls when the accelerator is depressed and does not respond no matter how much the pedal is depressed. the accelerator must be depressed a second or third time for the engine and the car to respond. i have had several near miss accidents due to sluggish or nonresponsive acceleration. the sluggish and nonresponsive acceleration occurs without warning and can be on a flat or incline surface.
Engine light comes on again after service, warrantee expires and same condition requires $400 service to replace air/fuel sensor. during warrantee it only required reprogramming the ecm
If i'm driving, when i try to stop the car, i press the brakes the brakes do not activate. the car does not stop it keep rolling on. i have to pat the brakes to stop the car or press the brake a second time for the brakes to catch. it feels as though it slips pass the brakes! i also took my car to nissan for the latch recall every since i got the recall "fixed" the pass air bag light pops on when no is in the passenger seat and my car will state that i have 100 miles (more or less) of fuel but my fuel gage will read empty and i will need gas as the gauge states!

I was driving on the expressway doing about 40mph and then all of a sudden the care seemed as though it had problems shifting out. then when i stop the car hesitated to take off and then when it did take off it jerk and the took off. when i got home i turned off the car and started it back up it drove fine, but later that day when i drove it started to do it again and then the check engine light came on. *tr
Cvt transmission failure. this is an event in which the automobile transmission and throttle simply stops working while the car is being driven. i experienced this event this past saturday on a trip into boston. it is quite terrifying to be driving along in the middle of traffic and have your car stop functioning with respect to having no power or gears such that you have no control or ability to make the car respond. *tt
The brake light comes on randomly and stays on until the vehicle is turned off; the brake pedal has a "hitch" in it when letting up on it (as does the gas pedal); you can hear gas sloshing around in the gas tank. piece of crap car. *tr
Consistent with nhtsa 10109214,,when attempting to add gasoline to the vehicle, the gas station's gas pump's filling nozzle kicks off immediately and continuously.. in order to add fuel, i must place the nozzle no further inside than the edge of the fuel tank tube and then only slightly squeeze the gas pump's nozzle.handle so that only a light stream of fuel slowly runs through the gas pump's nozzle.. it takes me 12-15 minutes to fill my tank. this is unsafe because i cannot insert the gas pump's nozzle any further than the edge of the opening to the fuel tank tube and so it is common for gasoline to splash out on my hand, body, clothing, car and other surroundings. because fueling requires that i maintain my hand on the pump's nozzle handle and the process takes so long, i am subject to gasoline splashes and inhaling gasoline fumes for a prolonged period of time. the splashing of gasoline on the surrounding surfaces at the gas station poses a fire risk at the gas station, its customersi and me. in the event of a fire or spark, i could catch on fire.due to the splashing on my skin, and clothing. because the nozzle can only be placed to the edge of the opening to the fuel tank tube, a spark could be attracted to the excessive access to fuel.. as a rule, people waiting in line behind me to fuel up become inpattient and enraged due to the delay. in today's world, if the wrong person is waiting behind me, i almost jokingly add that this vehicle's defect could lead to a mass shooting at the gas station. you may disregard that last comment.
The advertised miles per gallon on the highway is 38. i get 27 mpg on the highway. i drive almost exclusively highway miles and my mileage has never been over 27 mpg. this car is a rip off and not well made. *tr
When you have gas in the car and slow down/stop you can hear the gas sloshing back and forth in the tank. especially if the tank is close to full. *tr
I purchased my nissan altima 2013 s car on 17 october 2012 with 12 miles. approximately two days later after buying this vehicle, i began hearing a constant whining noise coming from the engine compartment at a very low speed, a drumming slapping noise when i abruptly brake, a rather disturbing metal clunking sound that seems to generate from the fuel tank and finally intermittently clicking sound from the engine compartment at a high rate of speed. these sounds ar extremely nerve wrecking for a brand new car. i brought my car to three different nissan dealerships for inspection at least seven times only to be told that these concerning sounds are normal conditions for this model. the car has also hesitated multiple times on start up. filed a complaint that led to nowhere because nissan north america, inc insists that these are "normal" conditions for this vehicle . *tr
When coasting from a low speed (45-55) to near stop the transmission "locks up" while nowshifting. the vehicle violently locks up, so bad that it feels like you've hit something. the steering wheel is also affected to the brute force. nissan issued a mandatory recall transmission reprogram which i promptly had done to the vehicle. however, just this friday, 5/3/13, the transmission again did this. both times i was lucky that i was on back roads with little to no traffic and that i was able to maintain control. this is a serious problem that in the wrong conditions (ice/snow/rain) or when oncoming traffic is coming could get someone killed. i can't explain just how violent the downshift is, other than to say the first time my 6 year old began crying in the rear seat because he thought we wrecked, and that the 2nd time my cell phone was jarred from a very rugged cradle. *tr
When turning my car cut off a few different times and you can hear a pop noise when turning coming from the right tire,i took may car to nissan i was advised that they couldn't find a code and didn't no why it cut off, and didn't hear the noise, or feel the slack in the steering wheel, my car was there at 7996 miles and out at 7996 miles which means no one test drove the car to even try to see what was going on they did a so called diagnostic which the check engine light didn't even come on. and i was told they drove my car to see what i was talking about. 4 months later it do the same thing but being that they didn't do what they said the first time i didn't take it back. in 12/14 it did it again while getting on and off the freeway and coming to a stop took it to nissan and was told i needed a air filter which was changed 2 oil changes before this happened. took it home and it cut off many more times, now 4/15 it did it again but worse sitting in traffic it cut off and everytime i start it and put in drive it cut of but will go in reverse and it jerk really bad, and when it do go its hesitate and when smashing on the gas it takes a long time to go then takes off when it decides to. i contacted nissan consumer affairs and was advised they were going to call to where i take my car to 3 days later i get a call back and was advised to call nissan and go have a diagnostic, like it was set up. when i asked for the name i was giving that consumer affairs was talking to she didn't have a clue to what i was talking about, when i called the lady i been talking to at consumer affairs i didn't get a answer nor a call back. but im sure they will not find anything wrong with my car due to no one will drive it to see what it do. im scared to drive my car due to it may stop and someone can hit me or being that when smashing on the gas it take off when it want ...
Purchased a nissan 2013 in july of 2012 in 8/2012 the car had to have a total brake job on the front and rear brakes at 1300 miles. nissan has yet to tell me why the car was manufactured with bad brakes and rotors and if there is an underlying issue that created the issue at 1300miles. faulty powersteering pump causes the car to growl and make a winding noise. you can hear the fuel in the tank sloshing around in the tank of the car. this car is horrible. *tr
