We have classified the 2 complaints from 2007 Nissan Altima about EXTERIOR LIGHTING into the following categories.
Tamara inflators- air bag light in dash flashes continuously
Brake light switch: due to how brake light switch was originally constructed car fails to turn on. issue has been consisting for almost a year. must press brake paddle several times, firmly. via internet research seems to be an issue constant with nissan altimas. is it a safety issue? obviously. brake lights are of most importance, and i believe nissan should be held accountable for its faulty defects instead of having owners pay over $500 for an issue nissan knew was only a matter of time to happen. *tr
While either starting or after starting my 2007 nissan altima when depressing the brakes the rear brake lights do not engage. this cause my vehicle to either not start or the brake lights to not work properly. i have brought my car to the dealership 3 times to include while under warranty but they told me there was nothing they could do unless they could duplicate the problem. last night while driving home my lights worked fine. then i parked my car for about 10 minutes and my brake lights would not work. this could cause serious problems if needed to stop fast. i have read forums where other people have had the same problem with their vehicles, like year and model. while driving the car at night it is easier to tell that the brake lights do not light up. but during the day you expect the lights to work and they might not. *tr
1.)when the car warm ups after 15-20 minutes, the slip and traction control off light come on. 2.) the speedometer fails, the wipers sometimes fail (in the rain!), and now the headlight go on off by themselves (at night!!!) 3.) the car was taken to a dealer. they adjusted a lose wire 1st, second they replaced an abs actuator, the 3rd time at the dealer they ordered a transmission computer gizmo (is on order and not replaced). *nm
