Problems with 1999 Nissan Altima TIRES

Tire on front driver side was flatered sounded like a gunshot going off collapsed coil spring strut and suspension

Consumer noticed tread had cracked open in center of tire an is separating from the carcass, discovered this when rotating tires, and this is tire involved in a recall.(firestone affinity tires, dot number, w1unaab418) *mj

While driving 65 mph, right front tire blewout. tire completely disintegrated. contacted firestone. original equipment for 1999, nissan, altima. firestone affinity, tire size p195/65r15. *ak. dot number w2c6 aab 468. *jb

After noticing the tire was low in pressure i proceeded to a tire repair facility. after inspecting the tire and finding a small nail the repairman noticed a split on the inside of the tire where the belts are joined together. the repairman said he could not put the tire on the car due to safety reasons. i purchased a new tire to be on my way. after taking the tire to a general tire dealer it was determined that the defect was a factory process defect. i contacted general tire (file #75994) however the company would only agree to fund half of another tire. i did not want another tire. i am concerned that this defect may affect other tires, however, every tire would have to be removed from the mounting to inspect the inside of the tire. i would like general tire to refund my purchase price for the new tire i was forced to purchase due to the nature of the defect.*ak (dot number: a3c63dv488 tiresize: p195/65r15)

Recall 00 020/tire failure: right rear tire experienced three flats while driving a 1999, nissan, altima; original equipment, tire size p195/65r15, dot# unvailable. after third incident tire was taken to an independent shop, and informed consumer that treads were separating from tire, tire was replaced by an independent shop, and firestone was notified. *ak tires are firestone affinity, dot number of one tire was w206aab069, mechanic stated one failure was due to the flab. *slc

Left front tire shredded while driving (contiental-general tire) causing a near accident, right front tire started to experienced tread separation a few weeks later. nlm

Replaced the two front tires because they would not hold air for any length of time, for no apparent reason. now i have noticed cracks near the tread area that run circumferentialy around the tire. tread depth still is good. *ak( dot number: w1un tire size: p205/60r15 )
