Takata recall i received a safety recall notice in the mail, july of 2016, for the passenger side airbag (mitsubishi had already replaced the driver side airbag over a year ago. i called our mitsubishi dealership @ 1-850-785-1591, to set up an appointment to replace the airbag. i was told they were not yet available, & that we would be notified when they were. we stopped by the dealership on 10-24-16 & were told the same thing (part not available). i called the dealership today 12-12-16 & was told the same thing. the parts manager said he did not have a telephone # or part # to even order the airbag. this recall/delay was discussed on the national news & gave this website to submit a complaint. airbags being replaced first applied to the elderly or hot zones (i live in florida). my vehicle is an older model with many miles & it is very hot during the summer months. i qualify to be in that 1st group to be replaced. please let me know, what i must do, to get my passenger side airbag to be replaced. (i don't want to die from metal shards flying out of the airbag compartment) this 6 month delay is not acceptable.
