I was pulling into my sisters drive which has a big trash dispenser in it & i already had my foot on the brake going about 1mph the suv lunged forward like i was hit from behind & my vehicle crashed into the trash dispenser & that then hit their fence which bent. there is damage to my front end & now turning the wheels causing scraping of the front tire. this is not the first time i have had it lunge like this. several times before so took to mechanic he put on machine to see if transmission was going but it was not. i am the original owner of this vehicle &:only one time did i get a recall for a plug to be replaced but there are several others even having to do with brakes. i have had family members in my suv that can validate issues happening. i hope someone will act on this since i have read this has happened to several others. i have left a phone message also in regards to this. i was so scared i actually was sick to my stomach when i thought what could of happened. *tr
My wife was driving are 00 mits montero sport, on the fwy she try to slow down to get out of the fwy. she was pressing on the brake but the car was not slowing down so she put the transmission to lower gears to make the suv to slow down it help but not to get the suv to stop. so she hit the car in-front. so after the car came to a stop after hitting the car the rpm were rubbing high so she put the car in park and turn the car off. so police came over because car was on the blocking the off-ram. when the tow truck driver show up and look under the hood he toll my wife that the throttle it was stock in the open position that what cause her not to be able to stop .... the officer toll my wife she was luck. *tr
When consumer put car in reverse vehicle started to race, and it flew back like gas pedal was stuck. *ak the vehicle accelerated at maximum speed colliding against the garage. *yh
While stopping at a red light light turn green and vehicle accelerated, but vehicle in front did not. consumer stepped on brake pedal, but brakes did not stop vehicle that jumped into other vehicle.*ak
