Problems with 1999 Mitsubishi Galant AIR BAGS

I own a green 99 mitsubishi galant and the clear coat is coming off causing my car to look like it has alligator skin it started on the roof and has now spread to the trunk and hood. i called mitsubishi to see if they had any complains about the paint and i was told no. the operator then asked what state i live in and when i told her that i live in texas, she told me that i should have expected to have paint problems with my vehicle because the texas sun is so harsh. i have also been involved in 3 accidents in the vehicle and my airbags have never deployed. i also have a problem keeping wheel cover on all it takes is a slight bump in the road and off they come. this year model also has major problems with the rotors warping. *jb

Was involved in an accident head on, and air bags did not deploy. i was injured. i own a 1999 galant. *ak

The vehicle was involved in two accidents, and the air bags failed to deploy. *jb *scc

Vehicle was involved in a frontal collision of 25-30 mph and neither air bag deployed. dealer and manufacturer were notified. *ak there were two injuries in the accident. *tt

Vehicle was hit head on. upon impact, frontal air bags did not deploy, causing injury to driver.*ak

Air bag light on instrument panel is illuminated. dealership examined vehicle for this problem, and determined an unknown fluid from cup holder caused an electrical short in an unknown component for air bag system. please provide any additional information / documentation.*ak abl.pco

No deployment of both air bags during vehicle collision with extensive damage and injury. *mjs

Was driving 5 mph and another vehicle going a t 35mph rear ended consumer's vehicle, causing vehicle to hit another vehicle in front. upon impact, airbags malfunctioned and did not deploy. thus failing to protect the occupant in this crash, in which she sustained injuries. please provide further information and vin#. *ak

Vehicle was involved in a frontal collision where front end went under another vehicle, and motor dropped into the engine. upon impact, airbags did not deploy. the dealer and manufacturer have been notified. *ak

While driving at 50 mph another vehicle pulled in front of the consumer, into the same lane. consumer applied the brakes, they failed and vehicle rear ended the other vehicle. upon impact, driver's and passenger's air bags didn't deploy. *ak

Both airbags failed to deploy, extensive front end damage on 07/06/00. problem # 2 front disc brakes have always made a grinding noise and front end has a vibration. car was taken back to dealer a couple of months after purchase, front brake shoes were replaced and rotors turned(not covered by warranty). this failed to fix problem, i have since learned to live with it(can't afford to have it fixed). note: i believe you may have a recall on my third problem with this vehicle, although i have not received a recall notice from the manufacturer, my car loses power to my accessories(radio, air conditioning,etc.).
