I received a recall notice in july that the brakes could fail if the abs is activated. mitsubishi referred me to a dealer (the only dealer in nevada). the dealer said they can't make any repairs, because they don't have the parts to fix the car. so, i called mitsubishi, and they said there is no repair solution available. so i requested a loaner, since my car is not safe to drive. they told me they don't supply loaners, and that i should continue driving the car unless the brakes fail. unbelievable! two months later, the brakes failed after abs system was activated in the rain and i slid through an intersection almost causing a major accident on a city street at 45mph after trying to stop using the emergency brake. the dealer wants to charge me for the tow (because the vehicle is disabled) and for storage (because they allegedly don't have parts to do the repair). mitsubishi offered no help whatsoever. they referred me back to the dealer, and the dealer claims they can't make the repair. i told mitsubishi about my previous experience, and they were no help at all. they said they aren't ...

Received recall informed no parts have been available to fix the brakes. i've had the car for 2 years brakes have always been mushy no accidents yet and still can't find anyone around to repair
While performing a stop the brake pedal lost all pressure and went to the floor. the car did stop but took longer to do so. after reviewing the recall notice for abs brakes i brought the vehicle to a mitsubishi dealer who confirmed there was a recall but did not inspect anything beyond driving the car to test the brakes. between the time of the incident and the one and a half weeks they claimed was the next available appointment the brakes returned to normal operation. the recall (15v337) states the hydraulic unit will be flushed, cleaned and inspected. the dealer indicated they were only testing the braking system by driving it and when the incident did not produce the same result, that was the end of their responsibility until i received a certified letter from the manufacturer. this recall was issued in may 2015 and it is now the beginning of october 2015. the manufacturer is obviously delaying doing the appropriate inspection and repair while this dangerous issue continues to affect many consumers.
