Last year my car started to emit gas fumes as soon as i started to drive it. after driving for a few minutes the smell went away. i have taken it to the dealer many times. each time they told me it was a sensor which cost me three- four hundred dollars. however the problem has never stopped. *jb
Fuel cuts out to engine at 2000-2500 rpm. results in severe bucking and no capability to accelerate, creating a very dangerous condition. has occured at different speeds from 20 to 50 mph. condition then persists at any speed but clears itself when restarting engine. has happened 3 times at intervals up to 4000 miles. dealer has verified the fault but is unable to recreate or further diagnose. attempts at repair have been guesses. concerned about the reliable safety of the vehicle.
