My vehicle was recall for strut failure on the rear lift gate. the recall repair was completed mid 2017. recently the struts failed. the carr was parked in my driveway when i opened the door and it wouldn't stay up. mazda is unwilling to replace the defective parts (without charge) stating the part is out of warranty. i purchased this vehicle new and it currently has 18,500 miles in the odometer. this vehicle has been gently used and this part should not have failed so quickly. it is poor practice to replace one defective part with another defective part.
