The car began to stall while i was driving. i attempted to push the gas pedal to continue forward due to traffic behind me, but the car began to choke. the car began a 1 to 2 second repeating pattern of jerking forward quickly, then no propulsion forward, then jerked forward, then no propulsion, until i let off the gas pedal. the check engine light immediately came on. the mechanic states it is related to the fuel pump for the car. the car has only 22,000 miles and should not be having these concerns.
