I was stopping for a red light and noticed that the car was not stopping normally. i realized that part of my shoe was still on the accelerator pedal when i intended it to be only on the brake. this happened to me several times since. i noticed that the brake pedal and accelerator pedal are exactly in line with each other and very close together. every other car i have ever driven had an offset between the brake and accelerator to prevent this from happening. i contacted maserati but their customer service department told me that every granturismo is designed this way and they would not do anything about it. i consider this a very dangerous design defect that could easily allow inadvertent actuation of the accelerator when trying to brake causing catastrophic consequences. i also noticed on the maserati forum that other granturismo owners had experience this same problem. please look into this. *tr
