Gas pedal gets stuck by the floor mat. this time i got in an accident that almost killed because i wasn't able to stop the car since it kept accelerating by itself. after reviewing the recalls & supposedly they fixed the issue.but i highly doubts. same issue again but this time almost cost me my life
3/18/2016 motor vehicle accident due to acceleration due to the gas petal sticking. progressive insurance is handling a personal injury claim and vehicle damage claim. claim number 16--2013182 adjuster is keith pelkey 904-423-4423. the personal injury claim is in litigation. further documents for subrogation will be provided on request.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 maserati ghibli. the contact stated that the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign numbers: 16v122000 (vehicle speed control), 16v264000 (suspension), 16v424000 (power train), 17v046000 (seats, electrical system), and 18v831000 (fuel system, gasoline). the contact stated that the parts were not provided within a reasonable time frame. maserati of hawaii (888 kapiolani blvd, honolulu, hi 96813, (808) 585-6617) was notified and several appointments were scheduled; however, they failed to service each recall repair required by the manufacturer. when the vehicle was purchased from the dealer, they made no mention of any recall campaigns that needed to be serviced. a loaner vehicle had not been provided. the manufacturer was contacted. the contact had not experienced a failure. parts distribution disconnect.
When accelerating, the gas pedal got stuck. approximately 1 month ago, it happened. my husband thought that maybe he stepped on the gas instead of the brake so he didn't report it. then yesterday, we were on the freeway with my children and it happened again. even when you press on the brake, the car kept accelerating and got stuck to the floor. my husband thought maybe the gas pedal got stuck on the floor mat so he pulled it back. he had to put it in neutral and pumped on the brakes until it stopped. he then continued driving on the freeway and accelerated again and it happened again. this car is a deathtrap and this needs to be investigated asap. *tr
