The back air bags are not even 3 months i pit in the front.
Tl*the contact owns a 2004 lincoln navigator. the contact was driving approximately 15 mph when the steering column locked and then the steering wheel turned in the right position without warning. suddenly, there was a loss of steering control and the vehicle traveled over a curb up an embankment. when the brakes were engaged the vehicle came to a stop. the vehicle was driven from the embankment and the identical failure reocurred. the vehicle was taken to a nearby independent mechanic for diagnosis. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where they were unable to duplicate the problem. there were unrelated repairs performed on the vehicle. the failure mileage was approximately 67,000. the vin was unavailable. the contact had concern of the potential safety hazard.
While driving, i noticed the steering wheel would vibrate and make a clicking noise whenever i drove over a bump or while turning. i took the car back to the dealer and they said it was a lubrication problem. they lubricated the steering shaft. the problem came back 2 days later. in addition, the steering wheel shook vigorously when applying the brakes. i took it back in and they sanded the rotors to fix the shaking problem, but did not do anything about the vibration when turning or going over bumps.*ak
Vibration in the front end. has been in the shop three times. twice the tires checked and one alignment. nothing helped. also the interior lights went out. bought brand new and has only 6,000 miles.. also the front bumper has water streaks on it that dealer says is manufacture problem due to no clear coat on it. *jb
