Nothing yet! are we going to wait until something does?! safety risk!!! taking way too long to get this resolved!!! this may result in extended brake pedal travel required to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. the condition does not result in a loss of braking function and the vehicle can be brought to a controlled stop. *tr

On several occasions while owning this car, the brake pedal has gone almost to the floor after activation of the anti-lock brakes. the braking distance increases dramatically while the pedal remains very soft. it eventually (a few hours maybe) returns to normal function. while driving in this condition, it feels as if the car will not stop but it eventually does, but the brake pedal must be pushed almost all the way to the floor.

After abs activation on a snowy road, break pedal needs much longer travel to engage brakes than before the abs went off. pedal feels spongy and requires much greater distance before the brakes feel like they begin to apply. multiple abs stops, 100 mile of travel and a day of not driving it have not made the problem any better. car is 2009 mkz with 81000 miles.
