Tl* the contact owns a 2007 lincoln mkz. while driving approximately 65 mph, the front driver side door swung open without warning. the contact had to hold the door closed in order to drive the vehicle. the failure occurred two times. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the door latch fractured and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 100,000. updated 02/03/17*lj

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 lincoln mkz. the contact stated that the engine failed to operate once the ignition was started. the vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer where the battery was replaced. the failure recurred three times with the replacement of the battery each time. in addition, the front driver's side inferior power door lock failed to unlock. the contact had to exit the vehicle from the front passenger's side door. the manufacturer was not notified of the defect. the failure mileage was unavailable. updated 08/06/13*lj
