Tl* the contact owns a 2009 lincoln mks. the contact stated that the part that controlled the position of the drivers seat was broken, as a result the back part of the seat was unable to stay in the upright position. the contact mentioned that the failure occurred several times. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that in order to remedy the failure they would install a metal plate in order to keep the seat together since the original plate was made of plastic. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not offer any assistance. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 16,476 and current mileage was 26,000. updated 9/13/11 *cn updated 09/30/11. *jb

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 lincoln mks. the contact stated that while driving at speeds of 40 mph, he attempted to change lanes and noticed that the rear head restraint was blocking his line of vision. the head restraint caused a blind spot on both sides of the rear windows. the dealer was notified and they advised removing the head restraints or adjusting them in a lower position. the manufacturer advised having the dealer offer their assistance. the contact stated that neither the dealer nor the manufacturer had been able to assist him. the failure mileage was 9,000 and the current mileage was 9,800.

Tl*the contact owns a 2009 lincoln mks. the contact stated that the equipment under the seat used for heating and air conditioning has injured his tail bone. the suspension began to deteriorate and caused the equipment underneath the seat to penetrate. the vehicle had not been inspected when the complaint was filed. the failure mileage was 20 and the current mileage was 8000.

New auto delivered 8/11/08 has spent 21 days in dealers repair shop to date. defects that became know are stuck accelerator pedal (ford & dealer claim "it never happened") deluxe audio system that worked some of the time (dealer replaced) cracked steering column ( dealer repaired) not knowing what will happen next, requested that ford take back the car, which company refused. car has design defects which affect the safety of the driver & passengers. front headrests and middle window pillars make side visibility difficult. the daytime glare from the information window on the dash makes it impossible to read which can be dangerous in a warning system failure situation. *tr
