Problems with 2007 Lexus RX 350 STRUCTURE

My dashboard is terribly cracked and it's very shiny. it's difficult to see when driving on the sun

While driving straight on the road with no cars near by and no overpasses nor anything over head, i heard an extremely loud pop. my sun roof shattered into millions of pieces. the sun roof is still in tacked but cracked. i pulled over and inspected the car. the sun roof glass is lifted vertically as though the pressure due to the temperature from the outside and the inside of the car caused this to happen

My car is used to drop off and pick up children from school and grocery shopping, and it has never been in an accident; however, one day i had just got in the car and started it up (my adult son was in passenger seat) and the air bag light came on my dash and the passenger air bag light shows it is not on. my son weighs almost 200 pounds. we even had him get out of the car and sit back down again, thinking the seat didn't register for some reason, but nothing changed. this is a serious safety issue, as if ever involved in a crash, the airbag will not deploy to protect any passenger sitting in the front seat. also, the dash of my car is cracking and huge spider web cracks have now begun to take over the dash on both passenger and driver side. i keep it garage most of the time so have no idea why this has started happening either. can send photos if they are needed, just let me know.

Exterior rear hatch handle covering melted into a sticky goo rendering the handle useless. dealer advises there is a service bulletin out about this occurring only in florida and that it is not covered under warranty. remedy is to replace the entire electrical assembly and cover. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 lexus 350 rx. the contact stated that the passenger side dashboard was cracked from the steering wheel that exposed foam through the interior. the manufacturer was contacted and did not provide a remedy. a local dealer stated that the dashboard needed to be replaced. there were no repairs completed on the vehicle. the failure mileage was 80,000. updated 09/11/2014*lj updated 1/13/2015 *js

The dashboard has developed several hairline cracks and has become severely brittle, for example if you were to just scrape it with your fingernail the material just puttys up like clay. if not repaired, the cracks will continue to enlarge and the dash will literally disintegrate, possibly affecting the deployment of the dashboard air bags. i feel that the defective dashboard is a manufacturer's defect and it should be repaired/replaced by lexus, as it is a potential safety problem!!!!! *tr

I parked my car in a parking spot to do some errands and, before i could put the car in park and turn the car off, the car shot forward and went through some shrubs, across a walkway, and finally ran straight into a brick wall of one of the stores i was going to. several bricks fell off the building and , needless to say, i was as shaken up as the building. since there is a wide walkway between the shrubs and the building, if anyone had been going to or from the store, that person or persons would,in all likelihood, have been killed. there were several witnesses who saw my car pull into the space, come to a stop, and then fly across the shrubs, sidewalk and into the building. my foot never touched the accelerator at the time of the incident and, according to the company that repaired the car, there was no need to adjust/replace the floormat or the accelerator or the brakes. *tr

Lexus rx350 auto-acceleration. while pulling into a parking spot (at a slow speed) in a parking structure, the engine, without pressure on the gas pedal, suddenly reved up to high speed and accelerated into the wire retaining cabled and wall of the structure. the distanced traveled was less than 10 feet before the car was stopped by the retaining cables and the wall. the front end of the car and the structure were damaged. the impact was severe enough to break 5 of the 7 cables. the airbags did not deploy. *tr
